Emmah's POV
I pull away from our kiss and give Alex a wide eyed look. "Alex" I say quietly. "I remember you, we first met at McDonalds, you play baseball, we went to the beach two weeks ago, and you walk me to my classes everyday." I tell him excitedly. He gives me a hopeful look and opens his mouth to say something but I'm already pulling to me for a hug and a passionate kiss. Alex gently places his hand on my waist and moves in closer to me. I raise one hand to his face and the other on his chest and we stay like this. Of course like he always does, Jace walks in when Alex and I are kissing. "What are you two doing in here?" He walks over and pulls us apart looking angry. "Jace!" I squeal and pull him in to hug me too. "I remember! I remember everything!"' He looks stunned and then asks, "what? How?". I let go of him and say shyly, "well Alex came in here and kissed me and then just a rush if memories flood into my head and I just remember the stuff I forgot! I don't know how though.". Jace stands there, looking really surprised. "How is that even possible, I mean you two kiss and then bam! You can remember?". I make and attempt with a shoulder shrug and then wince in pain because I'm still not fully healed and I can barely move much. Alex is at my side again as soon as a wince, trying to help me. "I'll go tell your doctor then, and let you two talk", Jace says as he walks out.
I have no idea how I could ever forget somebody so wonderful, amazing, sweet, and handsome. I turn my head to look up into Alex's eyes and then grab his hand. He leans his head down and kisses the top of my hand gently. " I missed you. I thought I was going to lose you for a second there." He whispers to me. I move my free hand to his chin and move his head up so I can kiss him on the forehead. "You missed." He tells me. What? What did I miss? "you missed my lips." He moves up and kisses my lips. I smile while kissing him and then laugh. He pulls back, clearly confused. "that was so cheesy but really cute at the same time." I tell him. He sticks out his lower lip at me trying to pull off a sad face, which he does. I laugh at him and then kiss him again, biting his lower lip. I want to stay like this forever, kissing Alex. "I want to get out of the hospital, I don't get to see you near as much." I tell him sadly. "I can try and sneak out out." Alex says quietly. With this comment, I widen my eyes and turn his head to face me, "Jace would kill you, don't even joke about that.". He laughs and then says, "I was just joking, I want you to get all better so we can have some fun when you can go home." and then he winks and kisses my forehead. I feel my cheeks turn pink and I look away from him, I can only imagine what he plans in doing... I then decide to play along with him and say, "only if your good.". He jerks his head up, clearly not expecting my answer and gives me a sexy smirk. My phone starts ringing, telling me I'm getting a call. I groan and then pull away from Alex and grab my phone. It was Taylor. She talks to me for about five minutes, asking if I'm alright and when I can go home and what not.
After I finally get off the phone I sigh, widen my eyes and then look at Alex, who is now playing on his phone. "Hey baby." I tell him seductively. He stops whatever he was doing on his phone and puts it back in his pocket and then stands up. He walks to my bed, smiles and then crawls onto the bed with me. I scooch to one side of the bed to make room for him to fit on there with me. "in just a few days, we can be at home again and get a little more privacy." He whispers in my ear. His breath tickles my neck so end up giggling, ruining the moment. We lay there next to each other talking about nothing in particular until the door opens again. First, my doctor walked in, then a happy looking Jace walks in behind her. Alex and me raise our heads and wait for the doctor to update us on something. "So now you can remember I hear?" she asks me. I make an attempt at nod my head yes and then she continues talking. "Well I was looking at your x-rays and we can take off you neck brace now! But, that's not all, since you can remember and your healing quicker than we anticipated, we can release you to go home as soon as tomorrow morning!"
