Emmah's POV
I woke up the next day doing my normal routine to getting ready and got in the car waiting for Jace to drive us to school. We got to school just to see Ava waiting excitedly in our normal parking spot. I can barely open the door before she starts talking to me. "Ok, so we got a new student today and he is a Junior like Jace but he is like to die for hot! He is like my dream man, I'm telling you! MAN! He is sexy!" Ava screamed at me. " does his name happen to be Alex?" I ask her innocently. "uh, I think so but I totally call dibs on him, mine!" she said. We started walking into school when I catch Alex's eye and he walks over and waves at me. What does he want with me, he was like ignoring me the whole time I was at his house? He walks over to us and Ava tightens her grip on my arm and whispers 'that's him!' over and over again in my ear. "Hey, Emmah. Do you know where Andy is?" He asked me. " I haven't seen him yet today but I'll let you know if I do." I tell him. "Ok, well see you around." He waves me off and then walks away. "You. Know. Him! How could you not tell me that you know like the hottest guy I have ever seen in my life!?" she screams at me. "Well, I went to his house yesterday because I was working on a project with Andy." I explain to her. " mmhff!!" she wined at me. Jace spoke up and said, "remember I have baseball practice today so you can either watch that or walk home.". "I think I'll watch the practice, you know check out the cute guys' butts." I said winking to him. "whatever" was all he said to me as he walked away.
I walk into honors English and go to my seat by Andy and say hi to him. He just nods his head and stays silent. okay then? He was talking to me just fine yesterday when we were working on the project, now he won't talk to me. I do not get boys at all. We just work on our project plans during class and and we decide on the scene we want to act out, so we start on our lines. Class blew by really fast so when the bell rings it startles me so I jump in my seat. "Well I guess that I will see you in gym." Andy tells me. " Yeah, later." I reply while waving bye.
We leave the class and we go to our next few classes until lunch. I find out that I have lunch with Alex so I see him a couple times in there. There was a flock of the girls following Alex around, all asking him what shampoo that he used and how he got to be so buff while feeling his biceps. " somebody's got a crush on the new kid." My friend Kelly teases. " Well he isn't terrible looking, I will admit that. But there's no point in liking him, he will never like me back..." I admit to her. " Oh shut up, you don't know how many guys like you but are too scarred of Jace to ask you out." She lectures me. "stop being nice, I know for a fact that nobody likes me, now just drop the subject already."I say to her. " Fine. Have you heard Austin Mahone's new song, 'what about love'?." She asked me. " um not yet but I'll have to look it up I guess." I promise her. " You better, he's hot. I wish I could see him in concert one day." She says longingly to me. The warning bell rings, signalling that we have 5 minutes to get to class. " Well we better get going, see ya later." We tell each other.
My classes are all boring the rest of the day mostly because we have tests in all of them but gym was about to start so at least I can see Andy again. I go to the locker room and meet my friend Taylor at our lockers. " We have to do partner-run mile with the partners from yesterday. ugh." She tells me sadly. Me and Taylor usually partner up and walk around the track while talking about boys or One Direction or something other. But now I have to run with Andy, great, I look terrible when I run, My face turns red and I have a weird expression on my face the whole time.
We walk out of the locker rooms to the track and then pair up with our previous partners. The teacher blows his whistle signalling us to start. Together me and Andy run a 9 1/2 minute mile and have some time to chill in the bleachers. We only just step on the bleachers when we have to walk back inside to change and go home. Once I get into the locker room Taylor talks about the same stuff she did yesterday about how we were totally checking each other out and what not. I just brush her off and say good bye as I walk to the baseball field.
The team is just starting to throw when I notice that who is throwing and talking with Jace, Alex. I finish my homework during the practice and then have time to watch Alex run around. I know, creepy right? But I'm a girl and allowed to check out the boys, ok? Practice gets finished up and I notice Jace is walking up to me with Alex. Hey, I wouldn't mind if they became friends, full time Alex. "Hey, Emmah. Alex is gonna come over to our house and hang out with us. You ok with that?" He asks me. " Yeah, sure, whatever you want." They leave to the locker rooms and I just realized what that meant. Alex is going to be in my house, with me. And have of course Jace, but still...
