Jace's POV
The day that Kalee told me she had a two year old daughter I didn't even know how to react to that. I mean what guy wouldn't freak out if their girlfriend said she had a kid? After she explained that it was Alex's kid, and that he black mailed her or to tell anybody, I was pissed at Alex, I'll just leave it at that. I was ready to just beat the shit out of him right then and there but kalee stopped me because she said that he would break up with Emmah right away. I didn't want my younger sister getting hurt because I pissed off her boyfriend so I didn't do anything, bad idea. Even without me doing anything he still broke her heart.
I know it's kind of a big jump in our relationship but I think I want to be the dad figure for Annabelle. I plan on proposing this idea to Kalee tonight to see if she would let me. Kalee is a really nice girl, she's hot, funny, great personality, isn't very clingy, and just amazing. Our relationship is really strong right now and I want to keep us going for Annabelle, and well, I think I love Kalee. Emmah and Kalee seem to be good friends now, considering that kalee just entrusted her with that huge secret only a small number of people know.
They should be home shortly since kalee doesn't live very far from our house so I should probably put some clothes on. I roll of the couch and stand up. I haven't moved off the couch I don't think today since I got sent home and my arms are sore from just sitting on the couch. It feels like forever ago that just this morning I was beating the crap out of Alex and getting suspended, I was asleep for about half the day. It was one of those naps where when you wake up it feels like you've been asleep for days and don't know what's going on. Ugh, I finish doing half stretches and start walking upstairs slowly.
Man, my abs are really sore and hurting, they usually don't cramp up this much after doing nothing. I try and ignore it while I find some basketball shorts and a black sweatshirt to wear. When I pull my sweatshirt over my head I feel this terrible pinch in my abs, causing me to stop and wince in pain. The pain slowly gets worse so I can barely move, I can't call the girls for help right now because my phones downstairs. I try and slowly make my way to the top of the stairs and try to make a descend down the steps. Another wave of pain goes through my abdomen when I get about halfway down the stairs and I double over in pain and tumble to the bottom of the steps. I hit my head against the leg of the table and black spots overcrowded my vision.
Emmah's POV
What does Alex want with me now, he made it clear earlier today that he doesn't want to be with me anymore. Kalee seems to notice my discomfort and speaks first.
"What do you want Alex, don't you think you messed up enough stuff today?" she hisses at him.
Alex's face seems to fall and he hangs his head down so I can't see his face anymore. "I'm really sorry, it's not what you think happened today. That girl.."
"I don't even want to hear it Alex, what excuse could you possibly have for the shit you pulled today!? I walk in to school and see you making out with some slut up against the lockers! What is there I'm not understanding Alex?!" I scream at him. He expects me to listen to him try and reason with me, fat chance.
"Emmah, she was forcing herself on me?! It's not what you think! Can we just talk this out alone please?" He tries and reasons again.
"She forced herself on you? I didn't think a girl could be that strong that she could hold you back from pushing her away. And I can't and don't want to talk to you right now, I'm going to go with kalee to see your daughter!"I counter right back.
That seemed to shut him up with the mention of Annabelle. Maybe I shouldn't have gone that far by bringing a kid into this argument but he deserved it.
"Lets just go Emmh he's not worth it, and Jace is probably wondering where we are right now." Kalee says as she pulls on my arm towards the door.
I nod my head and turn to go with Kalee but something Alex says makes me stop and turn to look at him.
"I'm sorry Emmah, I never wanted to hurt you." A tear is running down his face and his voice cracks in his mid sentence.
"Good bye Alex."

Kalee and I leave Alex standing in her yard with a tear on his face as we just walk inside. A part of me wishes that I wasn't so harsh and listened to him explain,but I already left him outside.
"Cheer up kid, you can meet my little bundle of joy now." Kalee says cheerfully while nudging my shoulder.
That's right! I finally get to meet Annabelle and see how adorable she is. Kalee leads my through her entry room to the living room in the back if the house where a small pack-n-play is set up. We walk over to it and I look in and see the cutest little girl I've ever seen in my life! She has short curly brown locks of hair and big blue eyes like Alex, just as kalee had explained.
"Oh my God! Can I hold her!?" I ask kalee excitedly.
"Of course you can! But isn't she just the cutest thing you've ever seen! I mean like seriously!" Kalee says as she leans over to pick up Annabelle and hand her to me.
"Mommy!" Annabelle exclaims excitedly as she raises her arms up to be picked up from the crib.
Annabelle giggles and claps her hands when kalee picks her up, excited to finally see her mom today. When I have her in my arms kalee looks at us and just smiles.
"Here you hold her while I get our stuff together ok? Think you can handle her?" Kalee asks me.
I raise my eyebrow at kalee before I even start to answer. "Of course I can watch her as you get your stuff, I've handled kids before you know."
Kalee laughs and says "Your right", then she turns off to pack up some stuff for them to come over.
I bounce Annabelle around on my hip and play with her a little bit as we wait for kalee to be done. When kalee walks back in she has two small bags packed for Annabelle and is ready to go. We grab her car seat and walk out to kalees car again. Alex left already luckily. I buckle in Annabelle and then we hop in the car to drive home. Since now we have Annabelle in the car with us we can't exactly have the music we had in before so we settle for whatever crap was in the radio. Annabelle seems to know some if the lyrics to the sings so every once in a while we can hear her mumble a few words out when she knows the part. She's so adorable.
We pull into the driveway in front of my house and hop out, my taking the bags and kalee takes Annabelle this time. I open the door but I don't see Jace in the couch anymore, I set the bags down by the door and call his name out. I her a small moan by the stairs and run over there to see what's wrong.
Jace is a jumbled mess on the ground clutching his abdomen but I see blood in the ground. I drop to my knees to see where he's bleeding and find there's a huge gash in his head bleeding steadily. I scream, causing kalee to run in, which in turn she screams too. I whip out my phone and dial 911.
"911 what's your emergency?" the operator asks me.
"My brother is bleeding from his head and he's unconscious! I don't know what to do!"
