That day had arrived. The day that made Juliet completely lose her mind because she was about to give birth anytime soon.
She was currently laying in the hospital bed, trying to hold it together and fight through the pain she was currently experiencing. She thought it would have gotten easier considering this was her third child but they were right when they said every baby was different.
This baby was proving to be extremely impatient and was not waiting around any longer to come out and meet the world. It was also causing her a whole lot of pain in the process that she had spent the past thirty minutes screaming at Dylan.
It was so difficult to know where to direct the pain you were experiencing and it always seemed to be the partners that got the backlash. While they helplessly stood off to the side unsure of how to comfort you and make things better, little did they know there was nothing they could do.
It didn't matter what he did or said it was likely to be wrong because right now Juliet's attention was plainly on how much she couldn't believe this was happening. She had previously had nine months to prepare for this moment however, no amount of preparing was going to make her anymore ready to give birth.
"I hope you're okay to get started because I don't think that baby is going to be waiting much longer." The midwife chuckled as Juliet nodded her head in agreement.

That moment Juliet got to hold her baby girl for the first time was going to be something she never forgot. The previous stress of giving birth had all been forgotten the moment her eyes met with her baby girl as she was laid across her chest.
Her tiny little hand gripped tightly to Juliet's finger as she placed a kiss to her head and she felt a warm feeling erupt within her.
"So have you guys decided on a name?" The midwife then asked as Juliet looked over to Dylan.
"Yeah, we've gone with Grace." She smiled as Dylan placed a kiss to Juliet's head before moving over to the small baby.
"That's a beautiful name." She smiled in return before glimpsing behind her. "There is someone who wants to come and see you... it's your dad."
Juliet was obviously unaware to the reality of the situation so just agreed to it anyway. She was unsure why her dad felt as though he needed to ask to come in however, realisation hit her when it wasn't Dale walking into the room but another man. She knew the face only from photos Estee had shown her and it wasn't a face she wanted to meet, especially not right now when she was experiencing her happiest moment.
"Juliet." He smiled as he entered the room and she just looked back at him with an inability to talk. "I can't believe it's you."
"You need to leave." She snapped immediately; finally finding her words and being able to speak exactly what she felt. "I don't know what you think you are doing here but you need to go."
She couldn't quite believe this was happening; completely unsure what the hell he thought he was doing.
She had never met the man properly yet he picked now, just when she had given birth to her baby to show up and show his face.
"Please, just give me a moment. I didn't think I would ever be able to find you but then Estee got in touch with me and it was then I realised the mistake I made."
Every word that was coming out of Mike's mouth went straight over Juliet's head because she genuinely did not care what he had to say. He had chosen to give her up for adoption and be with Estee over bringing up his little girl and she would never forgive him for that.
"No. Just leave." She spat once again and at this point she was getting ready to yell for help.
Dylan was with her but the midwife had left them in peace and this was the last thing she had wanted.
"I mean it, leave or I will make a scene and get you kicked out."
Her warning was enough to get through to Mike as he raised his hands in defence before nodding his head.
"Okay, okay I will leave but first I have something to tell you and it's important so please just hear me out." His voice was quiet before he backed up to the door. "I want you to meet someone..."
By this point Juliet was looking at him with a stern frown over her face. This was the most bizarre situation she had found herself in and she didn't appreciate him being here and ruining what had previously been perfect. She just wanted him to leave and never come back but it was clear he was desperate to do this one thing before he did.
"I want you to meet your sister... someone you know but don't truly know." He spoke before standing back and allowing a figure to enter the room.
In that moment, Juliet felt completely sick. She didn't know where to look or what to say but being faced with Abbie was not what she had expected.
"Wh-what are you talking about?" She stumbled out her words and while Mike gave her a sympathetic smile one she wanted to slap off his face, Abbie looked guilty.
"I'm sorry, Juliet... I should have told you." She began to speak up yet her voice was quivering.
"You're lying." Juliet fought back, not wanting to lay here and be fed rubbish from people who didn't care for her one bit.
"He's not lying and I wish I would have told you sooner but I was scared. I have been spending so many years trying to get close to you and trying to find the words to explain it but I couldn't. So instead, I did everything to be a part of your life and be like you because I envied what you had."
By this point, Mike had backed up out of the room and left the two alone and that was perfect opportunity for Abbie to fall further into her explanation and not miss out the honest details.
"Mike gave me up for adoption too and I only met him a few weeks back. However, I found out you were my sister many years ago and when I found out who you were, I was jealous. I saw the life you had made for yourself with a family that loved you and I wanted that. I wanted to be a part of your family and your life as we are family... you're my sister."
Juliet couldn't quite believe what she was hearing but from the hurt in Abbie's voice she knew it had to be true and it all began to make sense.
Abbie had first come into her life when she had dated Elliot, as strange as that seemed due to the fact Abbie was Juliet's sister, she had done it as a way of getting close to the family Juliet had. When things had not worked out quite as planned, there she had gone onto building a friendship with Juliet in Vegas. Yet again though, that had failed and she had moved onto Matt.
All of her moves had been an attempt to get the life Juliet had because she didn't see how it was fair that she had drawn the short straw.
With that thought in mind it became clear to Juliet all the mistakes she had been previously making in her own life and how hard on herself she had been. When she found out what Estee had done, she had been envious of Sophie and the life Estee had given her. She had been envious of every single aspect of being a 'Carter' and it had caused a massive strain on her friendship with Sophie.
However, now she realised that all of that had been pointless because even though in the time she had truly been hurt and wanting what Sophie had, Abbie had been wanting what she had. It made her realise that we always want what we can't have and that we're never going to be someone else or live the same life as someone else.
Instead, we should treasure what we do have and love the person we are because there is always going to be someone who appears to have it better than you and there is always going to be someone who appears to have it worse than you; that's just life.
It had taken the truth of being told she had a sister for her to realise that and although the wishing she was something else had taken over a huge part of her life, she was finally ready to accept who she was and move on.
