The next evening:

"Do you realise that I've had people telling me I'm insane for putting up with your shit?" Aaron raised his brows in a challenging way causing Sophie to look back at him in question.

They were both sat at their table after finishing a meal Aaron had cooked for them and were about to experience an intense after dinner conversation. With Phoebe sound asleep it was the perfect opportunity but was risky in that it could take two very different directions.

"You're not easy work, Soph."

"Who has been saying stuff?" Sophie then went onto ask but didn't seem fazed.

"A few of my mates." Aaron began. "They think I let you have too much control over me."

"My guess it's the ones who are single and haven't been able to hold down a relationship for longer than a few weeks."

Sophie's confident response earned a beaten look from Aaron as he chuckled.

"So I'm right. Who else?"

"Your least favourite person right now." Aaron replied and didn't even need to provide a name of whom he was talking about; there was only one person that it could be.

"Erika? Why have you been speaking to her?" Sophie pulled a dissatisfied face at the thought.

"I haven't, I just bumped into her and Juliet earlier after work."

"And they had a bitching session about me? What a surprise."

"Come on, you do act like such a spoilt bitch sometimes, babe." Aaron held his arms out as he tried to make a point.

"But you love me for it." Sophie then grinned as she reached across the table for his hand.

Pulling it back from hers almost instantly, Aaron pushed himself up off the table before making his way over to where she was sat. Guiding Sophie to her feet, Aaron then lifted her into his arms causing her to place her hands either side of his face as their lips met.

When caught up in the moment, Aaron began walking them into the bedroom where he laid her out on the bed and hovering his body over hers; Aaron's lips pressed to Sophie's once again.

"Are you seriously listening to what they said though?" Sophie then went onto ask, showing that it did in fact bother her a bit more than she was previously letting on.

"Well Juliet gave quite a convincing argument." Aaron responded with raised brows causing Sophie to look at him wide eyed. "But getting involved in women's bitching is not something I would risk doing, so no I'm not listening." He chuckled, earning a more relaxed expression from Sophie instead.

"But are you really pissed off with me?" She went onto ask as Aaron's lips pressed to her neck and when he didn't respond, she continued.

"Aaron?"

Running a hand down the length of her body, his hand grazed against the skin under her top before he just as swiftly stood back to his feet.

Reaching out towards him, Sophie took hold of the material on his shirt to pull him back down again, which he did so reluctantly.

This conversation was regarding Sophie's need to be in control and Aaron was trying so hard to fight against it, but in this vulnerable state it wasn't quite possible.

"What did they say to you?"

"I should never have said anything. It's just going to start arguments."

"No, I want to know." Sophie insisted and Aaron knew he wasn't going to get away with not explaining after he had been the one to bring it up.

"They were just going on about the party, with the whole going back to work thing." Aaron began to explain as he rolled over onto his back to lay next to her.

When Sophie remained silent, not giving any kind of response to his words, he reached out for her hand.

Letting him take it, Sophie made her way to sit across his lower body so she was now looking down at him.

"Then about how I always forgive you too easily and how I'm always the one to apologise first because your stubborn arse won't. They think I stupidly let you have what you want, when you want."

Yet again Sophie didn't say a word, instead she reached her hand out to trail along the stubble on his jawline.

"But whatever they think doesn't matter." Aaron suddenly jumped in to try and save the situation when he realised he was getting nothing from Sophie.

She was clearly fuming at Juliet and Erika for getting involved but was trying to contain herself from freaking out over it.

"But this conversation between us does matter, Soph. You do treat me like utter shit sometimes and make me look like a complete mug." He stressed. "Elliot may have worshipped the ground you walked on all the fucking time and done what you want but I'm not him. The guys are going to lose all fucking respect for me soon if I continue to act like a pansy arse around you."

With Aaron's expression serious while he desperately tried to get his point across, Sophie's was the opposite as a smile creeped up over her face before she began to laugh.

"What are you laughing at?" Aaron sighed, feeling as though his words had gone straight over her head.

"You do it because you're hopelessly in love." Sophie mocked. "It's not a bad thing."

She was clearly teasing him and trying to make light of the situation yet Aaron wasn't sure of what reaction to give to begin with. He was still trying to stand his ground but failing.

"That's my fucking problem, Sophie. I love you too much and you know it would take a lot for me to leave you."

As Aaron ran his hands over his head our of aggravation, Sophie reached out and took them in her own. Moving them away so she could see his eyes, she made sure to hold his gaze.

Moving her body just that little bit closer, her lips reached his jaw line as she began to place kisses to every inch of skin until she reached his lips.

"I love you." She mumbled in between kisses and Aaron had lost all willpower at this point to argue with her and instead was lost in the moment.

She knew his weakness and she was able to use it to her advantage every time.

"And I promise to stop being such a spoilt brat."

As his hands were in the processing of removing her top, he paused to pull back and look at her.

"I want to believe that but it's extremely unlikely to happen." He responded with raised eyebrows causing Sophie to produce him with a grin.

Their relationship was one that was unique and powerful in many ways, while also being so different to what either of them had ever experienced before.

It was toxic and on a countdown to destruction with Sophie pushing and pushing Aaron to his limits. However, the love they had for one another meant no matter how frustrated he got and no matter how many warnings were thrown his way by others, the love Sophie gave him and the love he gave back was something that couldn't be replaced.

No one else could drive him as crazy as she could and no one else could has him as blinded by love as she could and that was one thing he feared the most.
