I'll sum it up, I'm what you'd call a "jock", or a "bad boy", I'm popular at Maxville High school, one thing though, I'm very gay, most people don't mind, there are those few, though.
People have told me what they think make me popular, one being sports, I play football, basketball, baseball, and I'm pretty good in gym class. I'm fun, I'm rebellious, I'm nice (I guess), I'm cute, I'm smart, and because I'm gay.
My parents are Catholic, so naturally they won't be happy when I tell them tonight. I have this planned.

"Hey, mom, dad." I said when I got home.I took off my bag and put it by the door and took off my jacket and hung it up.
"How was your day Matt?" Mom asked.
"It was okay." I said. I wished I could take it back the moment I said it. God dammit, now she's going to ask what happened.
"What happened to make it "okay"?"
"Nothing, I just need to talk to you and dad."
"What is it? Did you get in the middle of drama or something? It's okay if you did, it happens all the time with kids, especially around your age."
"No, mom. There's no drama."
"Mark! Come here! Matt has drama!"
"Mom, I don't have drama."
Dad came into the living room.
"What happened, make it quick, I have to start the grill." He said.
"Can the grill wait? This is kind of important." I said.
"Depends." He said.
"Just tell us. What happened? Do I need to call the school?" Mom said.
"No, mom. I already told you there's no drama." I said, getting annoyed.
"Then tell us what it is. It can't be too bad." Dad said. "You haven't killed anyone, at least, let's hope you haven't." He laughed.
I grinned, even though it wasn't funny, it made me less nervous.
I took a deep breath and ran my fingers through my hair.
"I'm gay." Then I saw an opportunity to tell them I didn't believe in God. "And I don't believe in God, or any religion."
Mom looked as though she were about to pass out, dad sat down.
"The grill can definitely wait." He said trying to ease the tension.
"You're gay?!" Mom yelled. "And on top of that you don't believe in God?! You are a disgrace, you don't belong here, not anywhere."
"I'm sorry." I said quietly, I felt small and weak.
"Get out. Get out of my house." She said. She was more pissed than anyone or anything has ever been.
"Okay." I grabbed my bag and jacket and left.
I grabbed my phone from out of my pocket and called my best friend, Tyler.
"Hey, Ty. Can I stay the night at your house tonight?" I asked.
"Hey, yeah, why though?" He asked.
"I told them."
"You told them told them?"
"I told them told them."
"Bro, I'm sorry, but that's fucked up."
"Hey! Language!" I heard his mom say in the background. "Last time I checked, you weren't a sailor."
I smiled.
"I'll be there in 20." I said and hung up.

The next morning I realized I had no clothes."Do you have clothes I can wear? I can sneak back in today and get some clothes if they won't let me come back."
"I do." He said and went to his closet and pulled out black skinny jeans and a tight black t-shirt. Exactly what I would wear on a daily basis.
I put it on then saw my phone turn on from the other side of the room.
I went to check it, it was mom. The text read "Come home after school, we need to talk."
-
I walked home from school and mom was in the kitchen, just sitting there."We're sending you to a catholic boarding school. You are full of sin. You'd better hope that God will love you again, otherwise you'll go to hell." She said calmly.
I nodded my head.
"Go get your stuff. You're leaving tomorrow. You're going to pray the sin out of you." She said.
