A/N I'm so exhausted! I regret wearing all black to the cookout my sister had today, it was so hot! On top of that she CAN'T cook at all!

It had been a few weeks since me and Matt skipped school and our friendship was still strong. Haylee had been coming around more often, for the most part her and Matt got along.

Currently we were all sat in me and Matt's room, Matt was on his bunk texting someone, I was sat up on my bed reading and leaning my back against the wall, Haylee was laying down on my bed with her feet in my lap (Bailey: I would freak out. I fucking hate feet) listening to music. It was silent other than our breathing, that was ruined when Matt jumped down like a cat.

"Bye guys, I've got places to be." He yawned and left. Haylee pulled out her headphones and sat up.

"Let's go get something to eat, I'm starving." She whined, I briefly glanced up from my book to find her staring at me. I sighed and got up, she smiled like a five year old on Christmas. We were out the door within the next five or so minutes.

Outside the weather was starting to cool down, "What do you want to eat?" I asked Haylee.

"Chinese food." she said and started walking in the direction I assumed was where the restaurant she had in mind was.

"Gabe?"

"Hmm." I looked over at her.

"Do you think our relationship will last?" She looked scared for some reason.

"O-of course." I had to lie to her, she looked so hopeful. She smiled up at me and intertwined our fingers together. I felt so bad that I just lied to her face to face.

We were sat at the back of the restaurant, Haylee was on her 5th egg roll and was shoveling rice into her mouth.

"Slow down before you choke." I laughed at her.

"Shut up." She told me and hit me in the arm with a chopstick. She was truly a good friend, well that's at least how I thought of her as.

"So, how are you and Matt? You haven't fought lately." She asked, she seemed interested.

"Oh, good. We've been hanging out more." I smiled at the thought of him.

"Well I'm glad you guys made up, you've seemed happier since the fighting stopped." She smiled and went back to eating, I picked at my food.

"Can I spend the night with you tonight?" She asked me, I stared at her. I wasn't sure if Matt would be comfortable with that.

"We're not supposed to spend the night with people, we'll get in trouble." I told her.

"Please! They won't notice, they don't care as long as you don't bother them! I get lonely, my roommate is always gone." She looked hurt.

"O-okay, sure." I pushed my glasses back up.

Matt was back in the room when we got back, "H-hey, Matt? Haylee's spending the night with us." he was silent for a moment before he shrugged.

I gave Haylee one of my shirts to use as a nightgown, she went to the bathroom to change. I stripped off my clothing, I felt Matt's stare on my back as I got dressed. I looked at the clock , it was already 11 at night.

Haylee came out, my shirt went just above her knees. she yawned and rubbed her eyes. Matt had turned over so he was facing the wall. I turned off the light and climbed into bed, she curled up in my arms. I wasn't very comfortable, I could feel her eyes on me.

"Gabe, I love you." It got really quiet, I didn't know what to say to her.

"I-I love you too." That was the second lie I've told today, I loved her as a friend but nothing more. The bunk moved a little like Matt had sat up, I thought he was asleep.

Haylee was snoring beside me.

A/N What did you guys think? Are you all doing good?
