Never again,
as it was then,
my eyes they flood with tears,
remembering the years.
The eyes of delight,
that shone through the night,
dulled by a new moon.
She left far too soon.
My kind hearted dear,
I still feel her here,
I still see her face,
all over the place.
Remembering the bliss,
from my angel's kiss.
I wonder if she can tell,
from heaven I'm in my hell?
Couldn't protect her from harm,
laying there limp in my arm.
Her spot in my heart,
tearing me apart.
At least she didn't feel the strain,
better to die than feel this pain.
No longer a lover and friend,
sadly the story had to end.
