Betrayal cuts like a knife,
but it never takes my life.
Remembering who we were then,
every time I bleed again.
It's hard for me to forgive,
the way I am forced to live.
I changed as I must,
living without trust.
Keeping people far,
they won't see the scar,
that is the memory,
of what you did to me.
It won't let me forget,
you my greatest regret.
The mark upon my skin,
that tortures me within.
