Jacob and Katelyn ran around together for hours on end. They had the energy, being 7 and 6. They would swing on the swings, rock on the see-saw, play football, and even play games like cops and robbers.
Jacob and Katelyn had grown up together, and were so close it was like they were brother and sister. But neither knew about Katelyn's parents deciding to move house.
Their energy depleted.
"Come on, Kate! You need to pack your bags, now!" Katelyn's Mom yelled at her daughter, who was crying and trying to tell her no.
"I won't! I don't wanna move!" she would say, desperately attempting to salvage her time. Finally though, her Mom got her upstairs and packed.Two days later, the moving van appeared. Jacob and Katelyn said their final goodbyes, gave a hearty hug, and then Katelyn jumped in the back of the truck, sitting on her bed, which was tied down.
But that was ten years ago.
