I had moved away from the others, not wanting to seem crazy, and stayed away all night. I had been sat against the tree for hours, rocking back and forth with my forehead resting on my knees. The incursion had left me powerless to do anything more than cry, breathe, move and rock. Now you see why I didn't want the others to see me. As night came, I began drifting off to sleep, and when I did, the only things awaiting me were nightmares.
It was during the incursion, I was stood beside Gray. We had developed a strategy that was working very effectively, but there seemed to be too many of the creatures. I watched one slice up his back, and watched as it poked a hole through his chest before coming out. Then I sent out the disruptor spell I'd learned which had no effect, and as I turned, one grabbed my head, jumped on my shoulders, and tore my head off, spine and all. It was a horrifying experience. Then I felt like I was shaking, and I woke up to see Ciel, Maura and Elenore stood there. Ciel was shaking me.
"Hey buddy, you look like you should wake up..." he says, trying his best to smile at me. I groaned in pain, my leg had been hurt. Maura went to get Lucy.
"Don't, I'll be fine." I said, and reluctantly, she stayed. Elenore asked me what I was dreaming about. Evidently I had been sweating.
"I... was fighting with Gray, during the battle... and then he was killed, and they tore my head off." I said, leaning against the tree.
"Jaysus... dude, is that what all your dreams are like?" Asked Ciel.
"No, I don't dream often, so..."We returned to the others who had sat around a makeshift fire. I sat with them and they gave me some food. Lucy smiled a little at me and said softly, "thanks for the deer at the cave"
I smiled back before eating some.
