After a couple of days, Elenore and Maura had disappeared. I searched the forest, yelling their names, Ciel beside me. Then I realised...
"Ciel... what if they went back... find the demons who did this...?" I asked. He just stared at me with worry in my eyes.
We began to run to the remains of the town, and I found footprints from their shoes. "Damn..." I cursed under my breath. I stood and it was then that I saw Ciel had toppled over backwards, spasming. He was having a seizure! Or no... could it be the injector dart in his arm? Probably the latter, I told myself, and pulled it out. He returned to normal. "Jesus... you scared me, man..." I said.
But then, I think I scared him. As we were running in, we had began to slay as many creatures as possible, but all of a sudden, the one with the darkest skin raised it's left hand and I felt steel through my legs and arms. I cried out in pain, and I saw Ciel trip over and get knocked out.
And this is where it all started. This is where it all finishes. With me being hung by steel poles. And I knew this because of one thing, there was one coming at me. I managed to yell out and send a dark pulse and I think it killed him, but the pole went straight beneath my heart, angled at my stomach. I gasped for air, but I was gone. The only thing to do was to force myself and not die, hopefully in time for somebody to get to me.
