Whilst the others laid, hopefully healing, I had to wait at the harbour for Elenore. After three hours, I began to see the shadow of a small yacht. Elenore was barely visible, but from what I saw, she was on her knees, looking around. As soon as she saw me, I know I must have looked like crap, because she actually stepped backwards. She came off and hugged me, surprisingly. "Jesus, what the hell happened?!" She exclaims. "You look terrible! And where's the town?!"
"Ele... There's a lot I need to tell you..." I said, but was cut off.
"Wait... Where are Ciel and Maura...?" She asks, releasing me and staring up at me, scared.
"Don't worry, they passed out before I got to them, so I've moved them someplace safe." I said, looking at her.
"Oh thank god..." She says.
"Did the others not get back?" She asks me.
"Huh? No, they're not back yet." I said.
"Thank god..." She says again.
"Come on, let's get you up to Maura and Ciel." I said, took her hand because she was shaking, and walked her up to Ciel and Maura. She dropped to her knees in front of them, and seemed to lean forward and hug them both. That's when Ciel woke up. We didn't know he was awake, but his stasis ended when he hugged Elenore back, his eyes bolting open. Ele began to cry and hug him tighter, then he smelt the air around him and looked at me over Elenore's shoulder. "What happened?" He asks.
My look was enough to give the answer.
"And the town?" He asks.
"It's gone."
"Oh god..." He says, his head dropping back down.
Maura was next to wake up, coughing. I rushed over. "Somebody get me a sycamore leaf, she was in a fire, she's taken in a lot of smoke!" I shouted. Elenore leapt up and ran to tear off a leaf. She handed it to me, and I did a small spell on it, then held it over Maura's mouth and tore the center. It filled her lungs with fresh air, and she breathed in, her back arching. We all sighed with relief. Then she bolted up and hugged me. "They killed everyone, didn't they...?" She asks.
I nodded my head and she began to cry, then let me go and stood, hugging Elenore. They hugged for a while as I sat. Having to watch more than the others left me a little... Disturbed. I had to watch as people were slaughtered, and the town was taken by the hand of an army. I had given the cursed event a name.
