'Could it be...?' I thought to myself, as I turn and look down the rows. I scanned and scanned until...There she was, standing there.
My best friend from a younger age. I sealed my locker and practically ran towards her.
"Katelyn!" I called, to which she replied,
"Jacob? Is that you?"
I waved so she could see me, then walked up to her.
Smiling at me, she hugged me lightly.
"Missed you, Jakey." She giggled, to my surprise, calling me by the nickname she had done all those years ago. Then she pulled back and we spoke for a while before I introduced my friends. When the bell went, I pulled out my schedule for the day.
Period 1: Advanced Biology
"Ick..." I moaned, clearly disappointed.
"What is it?" Jace questioned. Jace is one of my friends. In our group, there's Jace, Me, Mia, and Jack. And now Katelyn, I think. All of us enjoy the same things, and exchanged Instagram names and such, as teenagers would. Then, remembering we had classes now, we went our separate ways. Katelyn headed to Math, Jace to Chemistry, Jack to English and Mia to Math with Katelyn.
I had my best friend back, after all these years.
