Furthest Thing - Drake

- C A L U M -

Evie's lips tasted of peach ice tea, and her hands were as soft as silk.

I'm still trying to figure out how all this relationship type stuff works, well, technically I haven't even asked her out yet.

Honestly, I'm still trying to work up the courage.

Evie is the first girl I've ever wanted to actually try with, this may not make sense because I can't explain it.

Courtney and all the other girls at school just wanted to get in my pants, but Evie, she's so innocent.
Even though I teased her about it, I truly think she's perfect.

I can't speak of the things I've been through.
I don't mean to bring all the sympathy and attention onto me but, I've had a rough childhood and whenever I'm around Evie I forget about it all.

"Calum? Are you ok?" Her green eyes filled with worry.

This moment separates Evie from the girls at school.
None of them ever asked me how I was, how my day was going, just the simple, "Wanna fuck?"

"Calum?" I finally look up to Evie.
"I'm alright, you good?" I ask.
"I'm fine but I'm worried about you, you seem sad."
"It's fine, come on, let's go pick a movie."

Ashton and Luke sat at the kitchen table.
I finally managed to convince Michael to ask May out. He was so nervous to the point where he was shaking.

Which is kinda stupid considering the fact that he had had to know that May did actually like him.

"Cal, come here for a second." I hear Ashton say.
I gulped and nodded my head.

I kissed Evie's cheek and left the room with Ashton.

"Okay, I need to know you're being serious." Ash said once we reached his room.

"What do you mean?"
"You can't just fück my sister Calum. You'll break her heart."
"You need to stop judging, I'm actually changing."
"Yeah, right. That's why you were chattin' it up with the blonde girl today."
"She was asking me where the fücking toilets were, you dīckhead."
"I'm sorry Cal but I've seen how you are with girls, I just don't want you to hurt Evie."
"Since when do you even give a fück about her?"
"She's my sister."
"I've never seen you act like her brother."
"Calum, I'm not saying you can't be with her but if you break her heart I will end you."
"Please just chill out alright? I'd never force her to do anything."

"Good talk." He mumbled before leaving the room, leaving me in an angry mess.

I sat down in his bed and put my head in my hands.
Memories came flooding back to me, but I continued to shut them out until I had a headache.

"Cal?" I hear someone say.
I look up and see Evie standing just behind the wall.
"What's up?"
"Nothing...we're watching Pulp Fiction, so do you wanna come down?"
"Can you just come here." I demand rather than asking.

She does, I grab her hand and pull her onto me.
"I'm sorry I've been such a dīckhead these past years." I put my head in her neck and rest there.
"It's fine."
"But it's not, I feel so bad."
"Calum please don't worry about it."

She cups half of my face as I pull back to see her eyes.
"You know you can talk to me about anything." she said.
"Thanks."

"I can't believe you're 18 in two days." I say.
"Me either."
"What do you want for a gift?"
"Um..."
"Anything." I offer.
"Just you, Cal."

Fück, this girl will be the death of me!

"What do you mean?" I ask while placing a kiss on her nose.
"I-I just want you. I'm not good at this stuff Calum," she chuckled, "I don't know."
"You're doing good. I'm sorry I'm not good at this stuff too."
"You know much more about this than me." Evie scoffs.

"Hey, lovebirds, movies starting." Luke comes in and says.

I sigh and look at Evie, studying the features of her face.
I kiss her once more and we walk downstairs.
