Sometimes, I hear employees or someone asking:
Why is it that the executives (and owners) receive more from the company than us when we do the work, we prepare everything, some of us check the documents, and there are those that review it and in the end, all they have to do is sign the papers for approval?
Isn't it unfair? Or was it?
Let's go back a few decades.
Who started the company? Who labored day and night just to make the company exists? Who saved and built their credit standing? Who made business connections? Who talked to loads of investors and financial institutions just to get that starting fund? Who prepared everything from paperwork to results? Who received the criticisms and questions and doubts of skeptic investors? Who did everything to convince them that it's a good investment? That it's all worth it?
Most of us don't see that. All we focus on is the present.
(Well, second generations are a different story. So..)
For all their hard work and struggles in the past, that's what their current compensation is for.
For without them the company won't exist.
For without them, hundreds of employees are probably unemployed.
For without them, you and I aren't working for a living.
Think about it, if you want to put up your own company, how much trials and pain will you face?
Can you handle it? All for the hope that in the future you're all set.
