Ade's POV

Mrs. Castro dropped off an envelope on my desk this morning. I was too scared to open it, I knew exactly what it was. I didn't want to read it without Andy. If it said we weren't related I'd most likely break out into tears and only he could make me feel better. I texted Andy quickly to let him know that I got the letter.

Me: I got the letter...

Big Brother: And...???

Me: I can't open it, not without you.

Big Brother: Okay well we'll hang out at lunch then. Alone.

Me: I don't wanna take you away from your girlfriend though. Besides you already made her sit at the desk behind us.

Big Brother: It's not that big of a deal, besides things aren't so great with her and I at the moment.

Me: Why...???

Big Brother: Because....

Me: Because?

Big Brother: I don't really wanna talk about it.

Me: Okay....

Big Brother: Okay.

When I arrived at school everyone was gathered around in the foyer and I heard music. When I made it to where I could see what was going on I saw Andy and his band mates playing their music... live. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it for a few minutes until to campus security showed up and started chasing Andy around. Everyone got out of the way and made a path for Andy to escape. Great. Suddenly one of the security guards ordered us to get to class even though there was 20 minutes until class even started. Anyone who wasn't obeying what the security guy said ended up in the principals office. I had barely made it to class since the hallways were so damn packed with people. Random kids were filing into a every classroom whether it was theirs or not, so they wouldn't get into trouble. I was having the time of my life during the little "concert".

Andy wasn't in Art and he didn't meet me for lunch. My guess was that his little shenanigan this morning. I decided to text him.

Me: Where are you? Are you in trouble?

Big Brother: No, actually I'm coming to get you. I stopped by and talked to Mrs. Castro she said it was fine to get you out of school.

Me: Okay don't text and drive please.

Big Brother: I actually pulled over when you texted me.

Me: Thank you, I don't need another thing to worry and stress over.

Big Brother: Of course.

Me: See yah soon.

Big Brother: See you soon.

Andy arrived 10 minutes later. I barely heard the announcement that told me to go to the office because everyone was talking about this morning. When I got to the office the lady told me to sign the sheet and that my guardian called and said I had a "doctors" appointment and a "friend" was picking me up. I signed the sheet and walked out the doors and spotted Andy's car immediately and practically ran to it, clutching the letter in my hand.

"Hey Ade."

"Did you ditch school?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because I didn't wanna deal with getting in trouble today. I already told mom and dad about what I did. They aren't to pleased but didn't care that I ditched."

"Wow."

"What?"

"Nothing, I'm just surprised that they don't care."

"Don't get me wrong they're not bad parents, they just respect my choices and know that it's my life."

"Lucky."

"Sometimes."

"Anyways..." I said noticing the envelope was damp from my sweaty palms.

"Do you wanna go where we went the other night and talked or to my house?"

"Um, your house."

"Alrighty." He said while starting the engine up.

Through the whole car ride there I looked at the envelope and kept wondering about how what's inside will change our lives. I'll either be Andy's sister or I'll be his "friend". I believe Andy wants to be friends no matter what happens but then again why would he want to keep me around? Sure we were friends for a day or two before we found out but it's different now. Everything's just simply different.

"What are you thinking about?"

"How'd you know I was thinking?"

"When you think about stuff really hard, you get a little crease in your forehead and you completely zone out."

"Why do you know me so well?"

"I've been paying attention, even to the small things."

"Like?"

"Like... when you're worried you twiddle your thumbs. When you're sad your eyes look cold and glassy. When you're zoned out you look absolutely beautiful and an-"

"And?"

"Well, when you draw you have a little dimple on your temple. When you're drawing you look at peace, like you're finally doing something you love. It's unique."

"I-I don't know what to sa-"

"I'm sorry, I made it awkward."

"N-no you're fine Andy, really."

"Then why'd you stutter?"

"I dunno." I said while tucking my hair behind my ear.

"And when you get nervous, you do that."

"Why do you notice these things about me?"

"Because I do."

"Explain."

"I'd rather not." He chuckles.

"Why?"

"Because. We came here to see if we're brother and sister. Now open the letter."

"Damn pushy much?" I joke.

"Extremely."

As I open the letter I can feel Andy eyeing me. I honestly don't know what to think about the conversation we just had. I tear a little piece of where you lick the envelope and slide my finger under it. I can feel my heart racing as I drag my finger under it. After what seems like forever the envelope is opened and I'm shaking as I slip my hand in the and grab the paper. I slowly open it and read the first sentence.

"A-Andy we'r-"
