It's the first day of school and I already am dreading it. Andy dropped out last week and now I have no one. Caroline called me a few times but I never responded and I really wish I had.
I hear Andy honk his car horn at 7:25, sending me racing downstairs and out the door. When I get into his car he immediately turns to me and asks the million dollar question.
"Are you going to be okay there without me?"
"Probably not."
"Why?"
"Babeee I have to get a new art partner, a new lunch buddy and a new walking to class buddy."
"Better not be any boys."
"Why are you jealous?"
"Not jealous, more.... territorial."
"Well well well."
"What?"
"I never took you as the boyfriend who would get 'territorial' so easily."
"I'm sorry baby."
"I know. It just sucks. I wanna go back to being home schooled now."
"Why?"
"Because I spent all of first semester with you minus those few months. When I should have been making friends I was swooning over you."
"What about that Caroline girl?"
"She called me a few times but I always ignored because I had plans with you."
"Oh."
"I love you." I sigh.
"I love you too. You can do this."
"I hope."
"Let's go."
Andy drove me straight to this cute little new doughnut shop with the best coffee. Everytime we went in there they always knew exactly what we both wanted. When we got to the parking lot of the school I was almost finished my last doughnut and my coffee wasn't even touched yet. I felt Andy lean over and kiss my temple as I finished the rest, sending shivers down my spine.
"Okay baby girl you should go."
"Okay." I pout.
I jump out of his car and walk into the building. I immediately walk to my first class and find Caroline sitting in the seat next to mine. Great.
"Hey..." I say awkwardly.
"Hey stranger."
"How are you?"
"Eh... I didn't want to come back to school."
"Why?"
"Because I hate school. I'm good at it, but it's just pointless."
"Oh."
"Why didn't you ever answer my calls and texts?"
"I spent all of break with my boyfriend and I rarely ever touched my phone."
"Oh I understand."

Me: I miss you...
Baby: I miss you too.
Me: I hate going to this school now.
Baby: I know I'm so sorry babe.
Me: Argh.
Baby: Did you talk to Caroline?
Me: Yes.
Baby: Are you spending lunch with her?
Me: No I'm just sitting at our old spot moping.
Baby: Oh okay. Baby I gotta go I love you.
Me: Oh... I love you too.
A few minutes later I saw a familiar face come through the doors.
"Baby!" I squeal.
"Hi cutie. I'm sorry I just stopped texting you, I was driving."
"It's okay. But babe lunch ends in 15 minutes."
"Mrs. Castro said I could take you out of school."
"Oh."
"Let's go."
"Alright."
Andy grabbed my hand and led me down the narrow halls to the office. I signed my name quickly on the sign out sheet, and skipped to Andy's car with his hand in mine. Andy took me to a nearby Shake N' Shack for a real lunch. I ordered a burger and a strawberry smoothie with whip where as he got a burger with coffee.
"So baby..."
"Yes?"
"I have some news."
"What?"
"You're going to be home schooled again!"
"What? Really?"
"Yes."
"Wait how do you know?"
"Mrs. Castro called me this morning to share the news. She wanted me to deliver it, hence why I took you out of school."
"When?"
"What?"
"When will I be home schooled again?"
"It doesn't start til next week but Mrs. Castro isn't going to make you go to school this week if you don't want too."
"Sounds nice."
"I have other news."
"Okay what?"
"If you don't go to school I have a road trip planned for us."
"Does Mrs. Castro know about this?"
"Yes. She's helping me pay for it."
"Omgeee!" I squealed and grabbed andy and gave him a hug across the table.
"I knew you'd be excited."
"I love you. I love you. I love you." I said while kissing him a million times.
"I love you too sweetie."
