Ade's POV

I've texted, called, emailed, everything. But he simply just won't respond. Today was different though when I called it went straight to voicemail, so maybe his phone died.

I haven't eaten nor slept, and simply don't know what to do. I feel lost without him, he's my rock.

Andy's POV

I was halfway to Cincinnati when I saw a small bar. I grabbed my fake ID and walked in. All I saw were crusty old bikers trying to hit on waitresses. I went to the nearest bar stool and sat down. I ordered drink after drink until I was hammered.

A friendly waitress saw me sleeping on the table and she must have had one of the bikers carry me upstairs to a room. When I woke up I wasn't in my bed, or Ade's bed. Suddenly it hit me that I was at the bar. I walked out of the room and down the steps to the bar. When I got there I saw a familiar face.

"Scout?"

"Oh hey lover boy."

"How did I?"

"I had a friend carry you up there for me."

"Ah. Wait don't you work at that tiny little shop at home though?"

"I do, but I also work here."

"That's a hell of a drive."

"It sucks, but it pays good money so who cares."

"Oh."

"Do you need some water, and maybe some ibuprofen?"

"That sounds amazing." As I realise how dry my mouth is.

"Here you go."

"Thanks Scout." I say while sitting at a table. I finally realised we were completely alone.

"No problem."

"Hey where is everyone?"

"I closed up early."

"Oh."

"Yeah I was tired. Where's your girlfriend?"

"Back home. We're having some trouble."

"Oh no what happened? Did she not like the gift?"

"No she did, she loved it."

"Then what's wrong?"

"I don't want to burden you with my troubles."

"Andy C'mmon."

"You may think I'm an ass hole after, okay?"

"Okay, now tell me!"

"My girlfriend is special, when she was a kid a lot of bad things happened to her. It affects how she is today. So Valentine's night I thought we had the same intentions, and that she was finally ready. She wasn't. I understand that it's hard because of everything that happened but it sucks for me as a guy."

"You just want to be pleased."

"Desperately."

"Oh."

"Sorry I don't mean to bother you with my troubles."

"Andy it's no problem, seriously."

"Okay." I whisper. "So am I an ass hole?"

"No not really."

I hear the chair next to me scrape against the floor. I look up and see Scout looking down at me with sympathy in her eyes.

"You don't have to feel sorry for me."

"I know. But I know how much it can suck."

"How?"

"I once had a boyfriend who had similar issues. Except he really liked sex, was even obsessed with it. When I wouldn't give in he'd cheat. He'd come home and brag about it. Til one day I up and left his sorry ass."

"Wow. I'm so sorry." I say while looking up at her.

"Honestly Andy it's fine. It was a long time ago and I've learned some things along the way. Never date a sex addict." She chuckles.

"Never." I chuckle back.

I find myself staring into Scout's eyes, I noticed that when light hits her a certain way they look gray, but other times they're blue.

I find myself leaning into her pale lips, I immediately smell the sweet scent of cherry.

A/N
Cliffhanger! So I'm really trying to get this book over with, because on Monday I have school and I know for sure I won't have time to even edit this book as much as I'd want to. Besides this was just suppose to be a summer thing. What do you think will happen? Will Andy kiss her? Or will he pull back and apologize? Comment please. Thank you for reading(:
