Chapter 44

Ade's POV

I heard a car pull up and the engine sounded familiar, when I looked out the window it was Andy's car. Excitedly I run down the stairs and out the door to greet him. When I see him walking away from the car, I immediately can tell somethings wrong. He has a long sad look on his face, and he looks nervous?

I walk up to him and immediately wrap my arms around him.

"I missed you." I say into his chest.

"Yea." Is all he says, and I realise he isn't hugging back.

"What's wrong?"

"We need too talk."

I grab Andy by the arm and drag him inside with me, no ones home. We're standing in the kitchen when I finally ask him.

"What's going on."

"Ade I have a story to tell you. I need you to promise me though that you will let me finish it and not interrupt."

"Okay... I promise."

"Here goes nothing. Okay so after you went to bed on valentine's night I ended up feeling pretty shitty. In the morning I realised I needed some space to clear my head and think. I didn't wanna stick around and get mad at you because you rejected. So I did what I thought was logical at the time, and left. I drove around and camped, and bull shit. Now yesterday I stumbled into a bar outside of Cincinnati, and saw a girl I knew. Scout, she works at this convenient store here but also works there, anyways she sold me your chocolate, card and shit for Valentine's day. When I saw her it was unbelievable. She ended up serving me beer after beer until I passed out. Eventually she said she had a guy carry upstairs to like a loft. When I woke a few hours later she was closing the bar, and we began talking. She asked about you, and then we talked about you rejecting me and why. I know how you feel about that, but I didn't go into detail. I hinted around at it. Anyways so we were talking and I kissed, and then one thing led to another and I woke up in bed with her, this morning. Sleeping with her was amazing, but I regret hurting you. Ade I'm so sorry."

"Y-you cheated on m-me?" I say while tears fall down my face.

"Yes." He says shamefully.

"HOW COULD YOU? YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING."

"Except sex."

"THAT GIVES YOU NO RIGHT TO LEAVE ME HERE FOR DAYS WONDERING AND THEN CHEAT ON ME. YOU'RE A FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!"

"Ade please calm down."

"Calm down? Calmn down? Really bitch? You just fucking admited to cheating on me because I wouldn't fuck you. Are you fucking kidding me?"

"Ade plea-"

"Get out."

"We need to talk about this."

"You are a LYING, CHEATING BASTARD. I NEVER want to see you again."

"Okay, but Ade please."

"You like her don't you? That's why you're telling me this." I say while sliding down the wall onto my bum.

"I would've told you even if I didn't."

"So you admit it then?"

"Yes. Ade you deserve the truth."

"Oh really? Is that all I deserve? Did I deserve to get fucking cheated on?"

"No of course not, I'm just a piece of shit." He says while sitting down a few feet away from me.

"Damn right."

"I'm so sorry." He says while crawling towards me.

"We're done."

"Ade I'm so sorry."

"Oh you're sorry? Sorry you broke my heart? Sorry you broke my trust? Sorry you just ruined me? Andy you were my first love."

"I know Ade and I wanted to give you everything. But I couldn't."

"Did you even love me?"

"Of course I did."

"When did you stop?"

"I don't know."

"Get out."

Andy walks away subtly, and with every step he makes away from me I feel my heart break more. Piece by piece. I knew this was too good to be true.
