Mikaela
"Traitors!" Mikaela sighed as Eren's enraged voice reached his ears. The new group had dismounted their horses and drawn their swords. The 'enemies' stood face-to-face, 20 feet from each other. "Give me back my key!" Mika glanced over at Ferid as the elder vampire laughed.
"Ah, ah ah~ Now where would the fun be if we just up and surrendered?" Mikaela shook his head.
"We're not criminals, Ferid. Therefore, there is no reason to surrender." The blond then turned back towards the rest of the group. "Leave and go back to where you came from." Eren shook with rage.
"How could you betray us? After everything we did for you, too!" Armin set a hand on Eren's shoulder gently, looking at the three vampires in determination.
"What are you guys up to? And where's the rest of your group?" Crowley shook his head playfully.
"In order to get to them, you'll have to go through us, first~" Erwin glanced over at Armin, Mike, and a few higher-ranking officers in the group. In less than a minute, the human group was split into seven and fourteen, the lesser amount of people lining the walls.
"Levi, you and the others deal with these three, we'll apprehend the rest." Mika glanced over at Ferid and Crowley as the sound of grappling hooks pierced through the air.
"I'll handle them." In one swift movement, Mika was running along the side of the wall before the soldiers could even get 20 feet off the ground. Moving faster than a normal human eye could see, the adolescent male sliced through the wires protruding from all seven of the humans' Gear. They fell to the ground, shocked beyond belief as Mikaela appeared once more by Ferid and Crowley's side.
"Well done, Mika~" The blond ignored the silver-haired vampire's praise as the humans looked at him in veiled curiosity.
"What... are you?" Armin's question, though spoken in a low tone, carried easily to the three vampires atop the rubble.
"Isn't it obvious?" Crowley's exclamation held nothing but amusement. "We are superior beings! And you... you humans are just livestock." Armin's eyes widened as he stumbled back a step, briefly flashing back to a short meeting held by Levi and Erwin.
Flashback
"Why do you think they brought us here?" Armin glanced over at Eren and shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't know, Eren. But if they called only a few people here, it must be important." With a nod of his head, Erwin gestured for Levi to start.
"Levi, show them what you found." Reaching into one of his pockets, Levi brought out a vial, and crinkled his nose when he unscrewed the cap before retrieving the handkerchief and laying it on the table.
"Filthy..." Shaking his head, Levi leaned back in his chair. "While the blond brat devoured the substance, he let some of it drop into the floor."
"Ooh, Levi got this from the floor? I always thought you hated anything that wasn't up to your cleaning standards–"
"I do, Shit-glasses. Don't interrupt me." Erwin nodded and spoke up.
"We have concluded that this liquid is blood." There were a chorus of gasps around the table.
"What?"
"How is that possible?" Erwin raised his hand for silence as Armin spoke up.
"So then that means that... he was willingly drinking someone's blood..." The blond glanced over at Eren, who sat shell-shocked in silence.
"Not only that," Hanji enthusiastically cut in, "but it seemed as though he actually enjoyed it! Interesting~" The younger teens in the room looked at Hanji in slight alarm.
"This is a serious matter." Erwin shot Hanji a look before speaking once more. "We must keep a watchful eye on these newcomers– I fear they not as human as we think they are." There were a chorus of agreements around the table before the meeting was dismissed, and people filed out until only Armin and Eren were left. The blond glanced over at his friend in worry.
"Eren, are you alright?" The brunette gave a tiny shake of his head.
"But... why would he drink blood..?" Armin closed his eyes in thought.
"I don't know... could he not be human?" Eren glanced at Armin out of the corner of his eye.
"But if they're not like me...." Armin nodded, agreeing with his childhood friend.
"What are they?"
Flashback End
'Drinking blood... Blinding speed... Red eyes...' Armin's eyes nearly popped out of his skull as the pieces finally clicked into place, realization dawning in his eyes.
"You... you..." Eren turned towards his friend in worry, setting a hand on his shoulder. Armin continued to gape at the three foreigners as the rest of the human group faced him, confused with his actions.
"What is it, Armin?" Mikasa was at Armin's side in an instant. The blond's voice was hesitant as he glanced at Eren and Mikasa.
"But, they can't be... They can't be real..." The boy raised a shaky finger and pointed at Mikaela, Ferid, and Crowley. "I've only read about you in books..." Erwin raised an eyebrow and Levi looked between Armin and the three vampires stoically. Armin finally found his voice once more.
"They're Vampires!"
