Back To The Present

Previously in the present day...
"If Liam, the super-obnoxious-most-over-protective brother in the entire world isn't worried, you shouldn't be either Josh. Now Liam, think you can explain how you know Harry?"

"What makes you so sure-" I began.

"Liam, cut the crap. We are trapped in the vampires lair. Even if you don't think he's going to hurt Leila, we still shouldn't assume Harry won't make her a vampire or something. Keeping secrets from us isn't going to help. Just tell us what happened with Harry and how you know each other!" Bella firmly said.

I sighed. "Fine... It was a few years ago. After me and Leila had returned home from being kidnapped, we left with Niall and the wolves..."

"And that's about where we formed the very first camp. There were many before we created the best one-the one that we met you guys at. It was Louis' idea." I said as I finished my story.

"Wow...Liam thats crazy... Wait what happened after that?" Josh said clearly eager to hear more.

"That's irrelevant right now. It might be important later, but until then it's a story for another day." I responded.

"Well Liam, that explains a lot... You really pissed him off, didn't you?" Bella smirked.

"Yeah yeah yeah I know. This is karma's way of getting back at me. Whatever." I said.

"That's not what I meant! I just meant that it makes a lot more sense now, that's all. What happened to the magical items?" She questioned further.

I glanced around the room to make sure we were truly alone before saying,"They're here with me. Right now."

"WHAT?!" Josh and Bella exclaimed at the same time.

"SHHH!" I said angrily,"Do you want the whole castle to know that the prisoners have magic with them right now? Anyway, I discovered a secret button on my bracelet awhile ago that I didn't tell anyone about, not even Lei. It shrunk down the bag with all of the magical objects in it and they went into my watch."

"Well why haven't we used them?" Josh stated, clearly dumbfounded.

"Well...you see... there's one small problem..." I trailed off.

"You can't figure out how to get them out, can you?" Bella groaned.

I nodded guiltily. "I kinda discovered the button on accident. The magic items just happened to be near me."

"Liam! You've got to be kidding me! We are going to be stuck here forever!" Josh groaned.

"No we won't. Trust me, if I know Leila she will get us out of here when she wakes up." I said.

"You sure?" Josh asked.

"Positive." I replied.

She is still sleeping.
She looks like an angel.
I have never seen someone so perfect in my entire life.

I've seen so many girls, some undead like me, some mortals, but none of them compare to her.

I just wish she would wake up so I could look her in the eyes and take her hands and say to her; nobody compares to you.

Something about her just makes me a whole different person.
When I'm looking at her, I'm no longer the vampire who's cruel and powerful, I'm just a regular guy who gets tongue tied and lost for words around her.
I'm completely and irrevocably in love.

Nothing could ever change that.

I don't think I have ever been so worried in my life. I can't get over the fact that right at this very moment, Harry is with Leila and anything could be happening.

Anything.

And I have no control over it.

None.

If she falls in love with him, there's nothing I can do.
If he turns her into a vampire, I'm helpless.
If he kills her, that's all.

I'm insignificant right now. Anything I do won't help her.
Leila.
I really hope she's being strong.
Whatever happens, I just hope she's happy and safe.
That's all that really matters anymore.

I felt a hand stroking my hair.

A hand? Stroking my hair? What?

I kept my eyes shut and tried to figure out what I remember.

Okay Leila, think.

Last thing I remember was being at the camp.

The camp? What else Leila? C'mon think!

VAMPIRES!

The camp had been attacked by them! I remember now! Bella had been screaming for help, so I went to help when-Oh.

The vampire. The gorgeous one with those beautiful green eyes and that perfect curly brown hair. He had made me fall to the ground. And then...

Then I had passed out. I remember having the stupid flashbacks again.

What was wrong with me?

Okay. What to do now? The question was, where the heck was I?

I'm willing to bet that after I passed out, we lost. I am probably with some vampire at the ancient vampire palace Liam told me about.

Wait a second...

Liam has faced the vampires before! In fact, he pissed off the king the last time he met them...

The king?

I wonder if he was there during the attack. Or who that gorgeous vampire with those perf-

LEILA. Focus!

What to do next? I can't delay the inevitable forever. I know I will have to open my eyes at some point.

Alright.

Here goes nothing...

I opened my eyes.
