----------------------------•---Leila---•
"I still don't see any lilies Harry..."
"They're here! They have to be!"
"How do you know that, exactly?"
"I visit Louis all the time."
The idea of Louis and Harry being such good friends still shocked me. They seemed as different as Night and Day. Harry being dark, powerful, and even cruel where as Louis was bright, funny, and very nice.
Though Harry might be more than just those things. After getting to know him, he wasn't as bad as he tried to make others believe. He just puts on a tough facade, but underneath all of that, he's actually not that bad at all...
"LEILA? Hello? Are you listening?" Harry snapped me back to reality.
"Huh? Oh-um right right!"
He cracked a grin at me,"You have no idea what I just said do you?"
"Not a clue..."
He rolled his eyes,"You daydream too much. C'mon trouble, I need your help."
I walked over to him,"I still don't like that nickname you know..."
Harry shrugged,"That sucks for you because I love it," He said with a wink.
"What do you need, your royal highness?" I said with a curtsy.
Harry wrinkled his nose. "Don't call me that!"
"Oh, sorry my king I didn't mean to offend you..."
"You know, I could come up with a much worse nickname..."
"Alright, alright I'm done. What do you need?"
"The kind of lilies we need grow better in darkness. I'm going to lift this log up and I need you to check under it for them."
"Alright, I'm ready."
Harry lifted the log up and I quickly reached under it.
"Be careful when you pull it out-we need the root of the lily."
"I know, I know." I mumbled as I searched. The dirt was moist and there was an array of different colored flowers.
"Lilies are normally white." Harry commented, noticing my searching.
I glared up at him. "I know that, I just don't know which white flower is which!"
"Well hurry, we don't have all-" Suddenly Harry flew through the air and I fell backwards, the log landing on my leg. "AGHH!" I cried out, the pain shooting up my leg like needles.
"Lei-" Harry had stood up and started towards me only to be knocked back again. I twisted my head, anxiously trying to see who it was. I saw a tall blond haired girl with purple streaks running through her locks and immediately recognized her.
"You!" I grimaced.
Perrie turned her head over her shoulder to look at me. She had on a lot of makeup. Her eyelashes were purple with purple and black eyeshadow above thick sparkling black eyeliner. She was also sporting purple lipstick. She grinned widely when she saw me.
"Oh, hello my dear! It's been awhile, hasn't it? I must say, your fashion sense has improved greatly!" She said, eyeing my skirt and top.
I smiled sweetly. "Well dear I can tell you that yours sure hasn't. Did you just leave your job as a clown at the circus? I can barely see your face through all that ridiculous make-up."
Perrie glared at me. "Well, your attitude hasn't improved at all, I see."
The whole time we had been talking I had slowly been easing my leg out from under the branch. First rule of battle-never let the enemy distract you, be the one who distracts them. I felt it finally pull free and I pressed the button on my bracelet and took off.
I saw a wild look of bewilderment cross Perrie's face as I disappeared. "You-you just-UGH! I forgot about your stupid little bracelet. Come back here you BRAT!" She shouted. Right after she said this she suddenly got a smug look and I saw her race to Harry and grab him. "Show yourself, or I take him instead."
Crap.
I thought I had been smart to get myself unstuck and run, but it was stupid to not grab Harry right after.
I walked out from behind the tree and turned visible. "Leave him alone." I said menacingly.
Perrie's purple lipstick-covered mouth grinned, knowing she had the advantage again. "You're in no position to be giving orders, hun. Now, why don't you walk up to me slowly, like the good little girl you are?"
I gritted my teeth and took cautious steps forward. Perrie dropped Harry when I was a foot away and reached for my hands as I grabbed her wrist and flipped her to the ground. She let out a groan and stumbled to her feet but I kicked under her legs, knocking her down again. I heard a sick cracking noise as her head hit a rock.
I ran over to Harry,"Harry, Harry, wake up!" I cried, shaking him anxiously. He sat up in a daze and I turned us both invisible after putting his arm over my shoulder.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Perrie standing up, her purple eyelashes batting furiously as she looked around for me."You can't hide forever Leila!"
I limped slowly away, bearing all of Harry's weight on my hurt leg.
"Harry, please you have to walk, I can't hold us up..." I whispered into his ear.
I heard a oozing sound behind us and knew Perrie was up and transforming into an animal. I glanced over my shoulder to see a small purple bird fluttering around and chirping furiously.
Good thing we were invisible.
Harry had come out of his daze and switched his arm from over my shoulder to supporting me from my waist instead. I leaned on him gratefully. We finally distanced ourselves from the forest part of the park and we both collapsed near a small pond. Harry removed his hand from my waist and I turned visible again.
"Harry, are you-"
"Leila are you-"
We both spoke at the same time, which cause us to break into a fit of laughter.
"That was-and you were-"
"Oh Harry you should have seen your face when you-"
"No your face when you-"
We exploded into laughter again.
I turned my head to him, the moist grass tickling my cheeks as I did. "I'm glad you're okay. I was worried about you for awhile there."
He smiled. "I wasn't. I knew you'd save me." He laughed, "I was a total damsel in distress back there, wasn't I?"
I grinned, "You totally were! You passed out just like sleeping beauty. Only you just might be prettier..."
Harry put his hand to his chest in a totally girly pose, "You really think so? I was actually thinking about growing out my hair..." He winked deviously.
We laughed yet again but suddenly we both fell into a lapse of silence when we heard the crunch of footsteps. Harry leapt to his feet and stood in front of me protectively. He bared his fangs and hissed.
A familiar figure with light brown hair and mischievous blue eyes appeared.
"Louis!" I gasped in relief. I stood up quickly before I suddenly fell back to the ground, overwhelmed with pain and exhaustion.
