•---Past Louis---•
"Louis how long have you been-" Leila began before I interrupted.
"Standing here? Long enough." I glanced towards the wooden trunk full of potions before shutting my blue eyes, remembering it all.
"I think it's best if you guys sit down. This isn't a short story." They nodded and sat down together on the closest bed. I pulled up a chair and drew in a deep breath before launching into my story."I was born on December 21st, 1925 in a small town named Doncaster. I wasn't always a wizard. In fact, I was quite a normal kid at first..."

*The year is 1943 and I am eighteen years old. It's my first day of senior year in high school*
"Louis, hurry dear you are going to be late!" My mothers voice called.
"Coming ma!" I shouted. I turned back to the mirror and took a deep breath and grinned.
Senior year.
Finally.I turned away from the mirror and bounded down the stairs and into the kitchen. My mom turned away from the stove and smiled at me. "You look handsome darling." I rolled my eyes and sat down on a stool. "Here's your breakfast!" She chirped, handing me a full plate of food. I dug in immediately.
"Where's dad?" I said, the sound of my voice muffled by the food in my mouth.
"Oh you know your father, he's off at work." Mom said carefully, but as usual I sensed that she was hiding something from me. I shrugged it off as I downed my orange juice and spun off the stool.
"I'm going to catch a ride with Cam. I'll see you later!" I grabbed my backpack and went out, racing next door as my mom called out saying to have a great day. As if I hadn't done this three years already. I knocked on Cami's door and waited. The door swung open and Cami smiled warmly. I smiled back at my best friend in the entire world. Cami was everything to me.
"Are you as excited as I am?" She said, radiating energy.
"Are you kidding?! I'm MORE excited! WE'RE SENIORS!" I responded.
Cami's mom came to the door. They both looked so much alike-same long, straight blond hair, same warm brown eyes, same glowing personalities. "Are you all ready Cami?" Her eyes turned to me. "Oh good morning Louis! You look very handsome today."
I shrugged. "I look handsome every day Mrs. Stevens."
She laughed lightly and turned back to Cami. "So are we ready dears?"
"Yes mom! Let's go!" And we all went to the car. A few minutes later we were there.
Twilight Rock High.
It had a reputation for being dangerous and mysterious-which made it an even more exciting school to be at. At the end of the school year last year a mysterious fire had destroyed most of the school(luckily no one had been there due to a holiday) and so coming back this year was going to be like going to a brand new school. Supposedly, it had been majorly remodeled.
I glanced over at Cami and noticed the light in her eyes shining with excitement just as mine were.
We hopped out of the car and were immediately greeted by a tall, gangly boy with light brown hair and glasses."Hey Jessie!" I said to my friend.
"Hey Louis...Cami..." Jessie's eyes were looking at the tall brick structure of the school nervously.
I elbowed him playfully. "Oh c'mon, it's our first day of our senior year man, don't be a party pooper!"
Jessie swallowed nervously. "This place gives me the creeps... It doesn't feel right... Ever since the fire... Don't you feel it?"
