--------------------------------------------•---Leila---•
I knew something had to be wrong when I ran into Harry at the stop of the stairs. I hadn't been paying enough attention and I crashed right into him.
"Ouch!" I cried. Harry seemed to not notice, his eyes fixed on the scene in front of him. At first glance, it seemed to be a large crowd of humans in the park, but after a closer examination I came to realize that most of the people swarming around the park were shapeshifters.
"Harry... Oh my god." I gasped. I felt a movement behind me and I realized that the entrance to the tree had just shut. I turned back to Harry and yanked him behind Louis's huge oak tree before anyone could see us.
"Harry!" I waved my hand in front of his eyes, which were concentrated on the shifters.
He blinked rapidly and turned to me. "They're everywhere. And they are looking for us. I read their minds." He mumbled.
"Well we have to get that lily before we go back to Louis. It's the only way to save Niall." I said earnestly.
Harry hesitated. "Leila-about that-um well you see the thing is-"
"Harry we don't have time for this!" I hissed,"We are lucky they haven't seen us yet. Stop trying to make excuses, I know you don't like Niall because he's a wolf but please...we have to get that lily."
Harry looked like he had some inner turmoil going on, but at last he nodded. In one swift motion he swept me up and launched us up into the tree. I let out a gasp but withheld the scream that had tried to come out.
He grinned down at me as he set me gently on one of the large branches. "Stay here Clumsy."
"Clumsy?!" I protested.
"You know it's true. Look, I'm going to go cause a ruckus on the other side so they go over there and then I'll come back and get you." Harry said as he swung down to the ground.
"Wait! Why don't we just use my bracelet..." I trailed off when I realized he was gone. I glanced around, looking for a way down.
Like I was really going to stay up in this tree and wait.
I couldn't see any safe way down. Harry must've picked this branch strategically-knowing it would be nearly impossible for me to get down. I growled, frustrated. And that's when an idea hit me.
A painful, dangerous, stupid idea, but the only way down as far as I could see. I pressed the heart on my bracelet and got to my feet. I summoned all of my courage and began counting.
One.
Don't do this Leila. It's completely stupid.
Two.
A loud crash sounded from the other side of the park.
Three!
I leapt out of the tree with a scream, and to my utter surprise, into the arms of a person. I gasped when I realized that on the way down I had hit the invisibility button again, turning it off. I looked up to see none other than a furious curly-haired boy with sparkling green eyes, glowering down at me.
"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING LEI-" Harry was cut off as an arrow surged flying right past his face. He acted very quickly and pressed the invisibility button on my bracelet, turning us both invisible, then running as fast as he could away from the park, clutching me tighter. After what seemed like forever he finally stopped in a alleyway and set me down. After I turned visible he began shouting at me in outrage.
