Chapter 8

{Chris's POV} 

When I woke up Esmeralda was still fast asleep, I wrapped my arm around her she laid her head on my chest I wrapped my other arm around her and kissed her head I still couldn't get over the fact that I kissed the most beautiful girl last night and asked her to read her book to me. I grabbed my phone and order the ring for Esmeralda, I gently slid out of bed so I wouldn't wake her, I got dressed and grabbed my phone and jacket I quietly left the room and softly closed the door behind me I walked downstairs Esmeralda's aunt and uncle were sitting in the living room drinking coffee. 

"Chris where are you off to?" Mrs. Sky asked concerned. 

"I am going out I want to surprise Esmeralda before she wakes up." I said. 

"That is so romantic don't worry Thomas and I will cover for you until you come back." 

"Thanks." 

I left the house and climbed into my SUV, I started the engine and drove away I decided to stop by a bookstore and get Esmeralda a few books since I now know what type of books she likes to read when I arrived at the bookstore I parked in front of the store and killed the engine. I got out of the SUV and walked into the bookstore I found the teen section and grabbed Esmeralda seven books based on the genre of books that she has in bins at my house I seen a few books with twilight that I knew she didn't have and grabbed them for her. I paid for the books and left the store I got back into the SUV and drove to Hot Topic, I knew exactly what I wanted to get Esmeralda at Hot Topic when I arrived at the mall, I pulled into the parking lot I parked the SUV and killed the engine I killed the engine and walked into the mall as I was heading to Hot Topic my phone was ringing, I pulled out my phone and answered it. 

"Hey C." 

"Hey Balz." 

"Dude where are you? Ricky and I went to your house yesterday to see if you wanted to hang out but you weren't home." Balz said. 

"Relax I'm fine I am in Columbia, Maryland I had to take Esmeralda back home." I explained. 

"What did you do to her that she wanted to go home?" 

"I didn't do anything that she wanted to go home Esmeralda lost her grandma yesterday so we are staying with her aunt and uncle until the funeral arrangements are made and finalized oh and by the way Esmeralda's aunt and uncle are fans of ours." 

"I am sorry for the loss of Esmeralda's grandma, dude no way your girlfriend's aunt and uncle are fans of ours." Balz exclaimed.  

"I'm just as shocked as you are her aunt and uncle are really nice, they let me and Esmeralda sit alone at a booth together last night when I went out to dinner with Esmeralda and her aunt uncle, I'll call you back later." I replied. 

When I got off the phone with Balz, I walked into Hot Topic I was looking around when I came across a few things of Harley Quinn and The Nightmare Before Christmas I got Esmeralda a few things of Harley Quinn and The Nightmare Before Christmas. I walked up front and paid for Esmeralda's gifts I left Hot Topic and left the mall I got back into the SUV and drove away on the way back to Esmeralda's aunt and uncles house I stopped at Starbucks and bought breakfast for all of us I got myself and Esmeralda a cup of coffee. When I arrived back at Mr. and Mrs. Sky's I parked in front of the house and killed the engine I grabbed the bag from the book store along with the bag and drinks from Starbucks, I got out of the SUV and walked up to the house Mr. and Mrs. Sky were coming out of the house they looked at me and smiled. 

"Esmeralda is still fast asleep you too have fun Thomas and I are meeting my brother-in-law and sister-in-law at the funeral home along with the rest of the family to plan the funeral."
