Chapter 29

{Esmeralda's POV} 

When I woke up, I snuggled up against Chris, he was still sound asleep I softly kissed his cheek I felt Chris starting to stir he kissed me and held me closer to him.

"Babe are you nervous about this afternoon?" 

"Not really. What about you?" 

"I'm a little nervous but I'll be fine." I said. 

"I can't wait to be legally married to you." Chris replied.

I kissed Chris and climbed out of bed I got dressed I put on a Slipknot t-shirt, black jeans, and black converse I brushed my hair and pulled my hair up into a high ponytail I walked into the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom Chris was sleeping, I walked over to his side of the bed and kissed his cheek I walked downstairs I walked into the kitchen and fed Binx and Creature and gave them water I turned on the coffee pot and sat down at the table. 

"Honey where are you?" 

"In the kitchen making coffee." 

Chris came into the kitchen I handed him a cup of coffee he looked at me and smiled I grabbed my coffee mug and took a sip I started cooking breakfast Chris wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. After breakfast Chris and I were sitting on the couch playing NHL 2016 I was playing as the Washington Capitals and Chris was playing as the Philadelphia Flyers, he was losing 6-0 in the third period when the game was over, I won 7-0 I looked at Chris and smiled. 

"I love you puddin." I said.

"I love you too, baby." Chris said. 

When it was time to get ready for the wedding, I put on the dress that I wore when Chris and I got married on my birthday Chris zipped the back of my dress and did my make-up for me I sat down on the bed and put on my black converse I put on my black veil and grabbed my black leather Jack Skellington motto jacket out of the closet and put it on. 

"Baby, my brothers are here." 

"I'll be down in a minute." 

My cellphone was ringing I grabbed my phone out of my purse and answered it. 

"Hi aunt Mary." I said.

"Hi sweetie, I'm afraid uncle Thomas and I won't be at your wedding." Aunt Mary said sadly. 

"Why what's wrong?" 

"Elizabeth and Samantha are sick and they are fussy so Uncle Thomas and me are going to stay here and look after the girls and once they are feeling better, we will come up to Scranton and visit you and Chris." 

"Chris and I would love that very much." I said. 

When I got off the phone with Aunt Mary, I grabbed my bouquet of silk black roses I walked downstairs and walked into the living room Chris was talking to Balz, Ghost, Ryan, Ricky and Vinny. Ryan Ashley, Kylie, and Jamie each gave me a hug I hugged them back we all left the house I locked the door behind us Chris and I climbed into his SUV, the guys followed us to the church. When we arrived at the church Chris parked the SUV in front of the church we got out of the SUV and followed everyone into the church when it was my turn to walk down the aisle I followed Ryan Ashley, Kylie, and Jamie down the aisle I handed my bouquet to Ryan Ashley. I turned and faced Chris, the preacher read us our vows Chris and I were about to give each other our rings when out of the corner of my eye I saw my parents stand up. 

"Stop the wedding!!"  

"Mom I am marrying Chris no matter what you and dad say !!" 

"Mrs. Sky, I can't believe that you would ruin your daughter's wedding I know you don't like me, but can't you see how happy I make Esmeralda." Chris said. 

"I don't care how happy you make her it won't last you'll get tired of Esmeralda and leave her for someone else." my mother replied. 

"Mom, that's it you and dad need to leave right now because you too are not welcomed at mine and Chris's wedding, and I no longer want you in my life because you will never except me or Chris." 

My mother and father left the church without another word to me or Chris, the preacher continued on with the wedding Chris and I gave each other our wedding rings he leaned in and kissed me I looked at him and smiled.  We all walked downstairs to the church hall for the reception Chris took me by the hand and led me out onto the dance floor for our first dance the DJ started playing "Iris" by The Goo Goo Dolls, as we were dancing, I wrapped my arms around Chris's neck he wrapped his arms around my waist Chris leaned down and kissed me. 

"Well Mrs. Cerulli we are legally married now." 

"I am glad we are legally married." 

When the reception was over Chris and I left the hall and climbed back into the SUV, Chris started the engine and drove away on the way home I leaned over and kissed his cheek when we arrived home Chris parked the SUV in front of the house we climbed out of the SUV and walked up to the house I unlocked the inside door Chris and I walked into the house I closed the storm door behind us and locked it I closed the inside door and locked it. Chris turned on the security system I walked upstairs to mine and Chris's room I walked into the room I removed my veil and took off my black converse I took off my jacket and hung it back up in the closet I sat my purse down I was trying to unzip my dress when Chris came into the bedroom. 

"Puddin, I need help I can't unzip my dress." 

Chris walked over to me and unzipped my dress I stepped out of my dress and walked into the bathroom I washed off my make-up and ran my bath water I stepped into the tub and relaxed Chris came into the bathroom and joined me in the tub. When we were finished in the bathroom Chris and I climbed into bed he covered us up I snuggled up beside him, he wrapped his arm around me. 

"I'm sorry that aunt Mary and uncle Thomas didn't come to our wedding my aunt called while I was getting ready aunt Mary told me that Elizabeth and Samantha are sick, and they were being fussy so her and my uncle didn't want to bring them to our wedding." I said. 

"Baby, it's okay I understand these things happen." Chris said.

"Aunt Mary said when my cousins are feeling better her, and Uncle Thomas will come here for a visit." 

"That would be awesome." 

Chris turned off the lamp we kissed each other good-night I laid my head on Chris's chest and fell asleep.
