Epilogue

{A few years later, Esmeralda's POV} 

Chris and I just tucked our four-year-old daughter Raven into bed I walked over to the crib and checked on our new born daughter Abigail, I leaned down and gently kissed her cheek I watched her sleep I felt Chris wrap his arms around my waist I leaned back and looked up at him and smiled he looked down at me and smiled. 

"The girls are fine let's let them sleep." Chris whispered in my ear. 

Chris and I quietly left our daughters room I closed the door behind us he scooped me up in his arms and carried me up the hall to our room he carried me into our room and gently laid me down in bed I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him I felt the cool metal of his lip piercings press against my lips we smiled against each other's lips. Chris laid down beside me and covered us up I snuggled up beside him Chris wrapped his arm around me and turned off the lamp. I laid my head on his chest and held his free hand and interlaced our fingers Chris kissed the back of my hand we just laid there in a comfortable silence. 

"Babe, are you asleep?" I asked. 

"No, I'm not asleep I'm just laying here." Chris said. 

"Raven is looking more like you every day and I have a feeling Abigail is going to look like both of us." 

"Abigail has me wrapped around her finger I remember when she was born you didn't even make it to the hospital you ended up giving birth in the bathtub luckily, I was here to help you." 

"I was glad that you were home when I went into labor with Abigail because I was scared sitting in the bathtub, I was glad when you called your mother over to the house." I replied. 

"I still cried when I held Abigail for the first time like I did when I held Raven for the first time." He said. 

Chris and I heard our bedroom door open and saw Raven walk into the room she was clutching her Jack Skellington doll and she was crying Raven climbed up onto the bed and snuggled up beside me. 

"What's the matter princess?" 

"I had a bad dream." 

"Raven, would you like to sleep with me and mommy?" Chris asked. 

"Yes." Raven said. 

Raven crawled over to Chris's side of the bed and snuggled up beside him, Chris wiped her tears away and kissed her forehead I leaned over and kissed her forehead. 

"Daddy can you sing me my lullaby please?" 

"Sure princess." 

Chris sang "City Lights" to Raven, she started to sing along I looked at them and smiled happily after a while Raven fell asleep, I gazed up at Chris and smiled he gazed down at me and smiled back he leaned down and kissed me. 

"I love you, Christopher." I said with a smile. 

"I love you, too Esmeralda and you're lucky our daughter is in bed with us because I would teach you a lesson for calling me Christopher." Chris replied with a smirk. 

"You can teach me a lesson tomorrow night." I said with a smile. 

Chris kissed me once more I looked over at Raven and she was fast asleep snuggled up beside Chris, he kissed the top of her head we fell asleep.
