Chapter 30

{Chris's POV} 

When I woke up, I went to roll over and snuggle up behind Esmeralda, she wasn't in bed I jumped up out of bed and got dressed I searched upstairs for Esmeralda, she wasn't there I walked downstairs and walked into the kitchen Esmeralda wasn't there either I made myself a cup of coffee and left the kitchen. I noticed the inside door was open I walked over to the door and looked out the storm door and saw Esmeralda sitting on the porch wearing my Korn zipped front sweat jacket she was drinking a cup of coffee I stepped out onto the porch and sat beside Esmeralda. 

"Good morning baby." 

"Good morning to you too, puddin." 

"How long have you been out here?" I asked. 

"Not that long." Esmeralda said. 

"Come on back inside your shivering." 

Esmeralda and I walked back inside the house I walked back upstairs and walked into mine and Esmeralda's room I sat my coffee mug on my dresser and kicked off my shoes and laid across the bed I heard Esmeralda coming up the stairs she came into the room and laid across the bed with me. 

"Babe, I'm chilly." Esmeralda said. 

"Sweetie, why were you sitting outside on the porch?" I asked. 

"I wanted to sit outside and drink my coffee." 

Esmeralda climbs on top of me I wrapped my arms around her she laid her head on my chest I kissed her head and held her close. 

"Are you hungry." 

"A little." 

Esmeralda kissed me and climbed off of me I got up off the bed and grabbed my coffee mug I handed Esmeralda her coffee mug we walked downstairs and walked into the kitchen I drank the rest of my coffee and gave Binx and Creature food and water. 

"Esmeralda, what would you like to do today?" I said. 

"I would like to spend the day with you." Esmeralda replied. 

"After breakfast we can play video games together, I could teach you how to play Halo." 

"I don't mind playing video games with you after breakfast." 

After breakfast Esmeralda and I were sitting on the couch playing video games I was teaching her how to play Halo she plays the game better than Vinny, Esmeralda caught on fast how to play Halo, I ended up winning. Later on, that day Esmeralda and I were snuggling on the couch watching South Park when someone was knocking at the door I got up off the couch and answered the door it was Ryan Ashley. 

"Hey, Ryan Ashley." I said. 

"Hey, Chris. I brought you and Esmeralda some dinner because I wasn't sure if she was in the mood to cook dinner." Ryan Ashley explained. 

"Thanks Ryan Ashley you're the best." 

"Anytime." 

Ryan Ashley handed me two pizza boxes with a tray of chicken wings sitting on top I looked over and saw Esmeralda standing next to me she took the boxes from me and kissed my cheek I looked at her and smiled. 

"Hi Esmeralda. How's married life so far?" Ryan Ashley asked. 

"It doesn't feel any different I don't understand why some women say that when they get married that they feel different the only thing that seems weird now is my last name I'm not used to my new last name now that I'm married." Esmeralda explained. 

"You did the right thing yesterday by standing up to your parents they told you not to marry Chris." 

"Thanks Ryan Ashley." 

Esmeralda and I walked into the kitchen I grabbed two plates out of the cupboard and sat them on the table I sat down at the table with Esmeralda and ate dinner as we were eating, I looked over at Esmeralda, she was blushing. 

"Baby you are really blushing over there." I said. 

"No I'm not." Esmeralda said embarrassed. 

"Honey I'm looking right at you and your face is as red as a tomato." 

"It's nothing." 

Later on that night I was sitting on the couch watching a Slipknot music video on my laptop while I was waiting for Esmeralda to come downstairs from taking a shower, I was singing along to the song Esmeralda came into the living room singing along to the song she sat down on the couch and snuggled up with me. When the music video went off, I shut down my laptop and put it away Esmeralda and I were trying to find something to watch on TV. 

"Babe, can we watch a horror movie?" Esmeralda asked. 

"Which horror movie would you like to watch?" I said.

"Can we please watch Dracula?" 

"Sure baby." 

I got up off the couch and put Dracula into the DVD player and grabbed the remote I sat back down on the couch with Esmeralda, I hit play on the remote I turned off the lamp Esmeralda snuggled up beside me I wrapped my arm around her and kissed her head. 

"Are you chilly?" 

"A little." 

I grabbed my Tampa Bay Lightning blanket off the back of the couch and covered us up Esmeralda snuggled closer to me when the movie went off, I stopped the DVD on the remote and put Dracula away Esmeralda refolded my blanket and laid it on the back of the couch. Esmeralda and I walked upstairs to bed we walked into our room and climbed into bed I covered us up and turned off the lamp I wrapped my arm around Esmeralda and turned off the lamp I fell asleep. During the night I felt Esmeralda gently shaking me I looked over at the alarm clock it was going on 2:00 in the morning I turned on the lamp and rolled over facing Esmeralda. 

"Baby what's the matter?" I asked half asleep. 

"I can't sleep." Esmeralda said. 

Esmeralda snuggled up beside me I wrapped my arm around her, she laid her head on my chest I turned the lamp back off and kissed her head and gently rubbed her back. 

"Just lay here and relax." 

Binx and Creature jumped up onto the bed they curled up at the bottom of the bed I checked on Esmeralda she was sound asleep I went back to sleep.
