Chapter 43

{Esmeralda's POV} 

When I woke, I looked over at the alarm clock it was going on 3:30 in the morning I rolled over and went to snuggle up next to Chris, he wasn't in bed Chris came out of the bathroom and climbed back into bed and kissed me. 

"Did I wake you up?" Chris whispered.

"No, I went to snuggle up to you and you weren't in bed." I said softly. 

I kissed Chris and rolled back over he snuggled up behind me and kissed the tip of my shoulder and draped his arm across me we went back to sleep when I woke back up Chris leaned over and kissed my cheek I rolled over and faced him. 

"Morning beautiful." 

"Morning handsome." 

Chris and I were lying in bed snuggling with one another I kissed him and smiled I climbed out of bed and got dressed I put on a Slipknot t-shirt, black jeans, and converse I brushed my jet-black hair and pulled up my hair up into a ponytail and walked into the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, I grabbed my Jack Skellington motto jacket out of the closet and put it on and grabbed my Harley Quinn purse I walked over to Chris's side of the bed I sat on the edge of the bed and kissed him.

"Where are you off to?" Chris asked. 

"I'm going to go to the grocery store so we can eat." I said. 

"I'll go with you." 

I got up off the bed and opened the bedroom door I walked downstairs I peeked into the living room Ricky, Jamie, Ryan, Vinny, Ghost, and Kylie were gone I walked into the kitchen Creature and Binx were eating I left the kitchen Chris came downstairs and kissed me. We left the house and walked down to the SUV, Chris and I climbed into the SUV, I pulled my phone out of my purse and checked the date on the calendar I noticed my period was a few weeks late I put my phone back into my purse Chris stopped at a stop light and kissed my cheek. 

"Everything okay?" Chris asked. 

"My period is a few weeks late." I said nervously. 

"While we're at the grocery store grab a pregnancy test." 

"If I am pregnant, are you going to be mad?" 

"Baby, I'm not going to be angry because we both talked about starting a family if you want, I'll stay in the bathroom with you when you do the test." He replied. 

"I would like that because I am really nervous about taking the pregnancy test." I said. 

Chris turned into the grocery store parking lot and killed the engine he leaned over and kissed me I looked at him and smiled we climbed out of the SUV, Chris and I walked up to the store I grabbed a shopping cart and walked into the store with Chris. Chris was putting the groceries into the trunk I went to help him he handed me the keys to the SUV, I climbed into the passenger seat Chris climbed behind the wheel I kissed him and handed him the keys. 

"Babe I could have helped you put the groceries into the trunk." 

"I know baby but I'm not going to let you pick up a heavy bag." 

I leaned over and kissed Chris's cheek and held his hand he placed my hand on his leg when we arrived home Chris parked in front of the house and handed me the keys we got out of the SUV, I grabbed my purse and walked up to the house I opened the storm door and unlocked the inside door and walked inside the house. I walked into the kitchen Chris came into the kitchen carrying the grocery bags he sat them on the table I started putting the grocery's away he came back into the kitchen with the last of the grocery's Chris helped me put the rest of the groceries away. Chris handed me the pregnancy test we walked upstairs to our room Chris, and I walked into our room I sat my purse on my dresser I took off my motto jacket and put it back in the closet I walked into the bathroom with Chris and took the pregnancy test. I was sitting on the toilet seat lid holding the test in my hands waiting for the results Chris was sitting on the edge of the tub I looked down at the results and saw that I was pregnant I looked at Chris and cried. 

"What's the matter?" Chris asked worriedly. 

"I'm pregnant." I cried. 

I showed Chris the pregnancy test he looked at the test and smiled I got up from the toilet seat lid and wiped my tears Chris sat the pregnancy test on the counter he gently pulled me against his chest and kissed me I wrapped my arms around his neck. 

"I want to wait until we know for sure that your pregnant before we tell anyone." 

"I agree and I want to at least know what we are having before we tell anyone too." 

"Can we keep the pregnancy test and write the baby's name on it?" Chris asked. 

"We can keep the pregnancy test and write the baby's name on it my father did when my mother was pregnant with me." I replied. 

Chris kissed me once more we left the bathroom and walked downstairs Chris and I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch I snuggled up beside him I was counting nine months on my fingers I looked up at Chris and smiled. 

"If you are pregnant, when are you due?" 

"I would be due in October." 

Chris wrapped his arm around me I laid my head on his chest he kissed my head I held Chris's free hand and interlaced our fingers he kissed the back of my hand I looked up at him and smiled.

"Babe." 

"Yeah." 

"I'm kind of nervous about going to the doctors and finding out for sure if I am pregnant." I said. 

"I'll go with you and if you are pregnant, I will help you every step of the way I promise." Chris replied. 

I got up off the couch and walked into the kitchen and started cooking dinner I decided to make a pizza for dinner I put the pizza into the oven I felt Chris wrap his arms around my waist he kissed my cheek I looked at him and smiled. 

"Babe behave yourself." 

"You and I both know that's not going to happen." 

Later on, that night Chris and I were lying in bed together listening to the radio Godsmack's "Voodoo" was playing I was singing along Chris wrapped his arm around me I laid my head on his chest when the song went off Chris grabbed the remote to his stereo and turned it off, he turned off the lamp we went to sleep.
