Chapter 37

{Esmeralda's POV} 

I was sitting in the kitchen having breakfast when Chris came into the kitchen, he made himself a cup of coffee and grabbed a bowl of cereal and joined me at the table I knew something was bothering him because Chris wasn't his usual self. 

"Chris is everything okay?" 

"I'm not sure I got a text from Balz saying that he needs to talk to the whole band for a band meeting so after breakfast I have to go over to Balz and Ryan Ashley's house for the band meeting." 

"Babe relax I'm sure it's nothing serious." I said.

"I'm sure your right and I'm worrying over nothing." Chris replied. 

After breakfast Chris gave me, a passion filled kiss I wrapped my arms around his neck he wrapped his arms around my waist and held me close Chris left the house I locked the inside door and walked upstairs to mine and Chris's room I walked into the room and got dressed. I put on a KISS Army t-shirt, yoga pants, and black converse I walked into the bathroom when I was finished in the bathroom, I made the bed and walked downstairs I walked into the kitchen I gave Binx and Creature their food and water dishes. I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch I was watching We Bare Bears on Cartoon Network when I heard the front door close Chris came into the living room and joined me on the couch, I could tell by the look on his face that the band meeting didn't go well. 

"Is everything okay?" 

"I don't want to talk about it right now." 

Chris kissed me and left the living room Binx, and Creature came running into the living room they jumped up onto the couch and curled up alongside of me I heard Chris's office door slam shut I got up off the couch and left the living room I walked down the hall to Chris's office and knocked on the door. 

"Babe please talk to me." I said gently. 

"The door is unlocked." Chris replied. 

I turned the knob and opened the door to Chris's office and walked inside he was sitting on the leather couch playing his guitar that I gave him for Christmas, I walked over to the couch and sat beside him, he put down his guitar. 

"What's the matter my love? I have never seen you this upset before." 

"Remember the band meeting that I had to go to this morning." 

"Yeah, I remember." I said. 

"Balz told me and the guys that he is leaving the band to pursue other things with music." Chris explained. 

"Chris, I know it hurts because Balz has been with the band for ten years, but he did the right thing by telling you and the guys that he is leaving the band Balz could have been like most band members and leave without telling you and the guys that he is leaving the band." 

Chris laid down on the couch and laid his head in my lap I leaned down and kissed Chris's forehead I ran my fingers through his hair Chris looked up at me and smiled he kissed my wrist I brushed the back of my finger against his cheek. 

"I love you, Esmeralda." 

"I love you too, Chris." 

"Babe who's going to play keyboard for the band since Balz left?" I asked. 

"We will have a fill in keyboard player until we can find a permanent keyboard player." Chris said.

Chris sat up on the couch and kissed me I left his office and walked back into the living room I sat back down on the couch and watched Cartoon Network, Chris came into the living room and sat beside me he wrapped his arm around me I laid my head on his chest. 

"I am really excited about going on tour with you this is like a dream come true for me." 

"I'm glad you're coming on tour with me." 

"Babe who's going to watch Binx and Creature?" I asked. 

"My mother offered to look after the cats until we come back home, I told my mother that I would drop the cats off to her on the way to the airport." Chris explained. 

I walked into the kitchen and made a pizza I put the pizza into the oven I felt Chris wrap his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek I felt my cheeks grow warm he sat down on the counter I looked at him and smiled. 

"Aww I made you blush beautiful." 

"Babe you always make me blush" 

"It's a sign I'm doing my job as a loving husband to make you blush." Chris said with a smile in his voice. 

"Have I ever made you blush before?" I asked. 

"Of course, you have made me blush before." 

After dinner Chris and I washed up the dished I washed while he dried the dishes and put them away, I playfully flicked water at Chris, he playfully hit me on the ass with the dish towel I dumped out the dish water and rinsed out the dish pan I dried my hands on the dish towel and playfully hit Chris on the ass with the towel. I ran out of the kitchen and ran upstairs I heard Chris running behind me I ran into our room I felt Chris grab my hand and gently pulled me against his chest I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck he leaned in and kissed me Chris scooped me up in his arms and carried me into the bathroom. When we came out of the bathroom, I grabbed the remote to Chris's stereo off his bedside table and turned on the radio my favorite Aerosmith song was playing on the radio Chris walked over to me he wrapped his arms around my waist I wrapped my arms around his neck, and we danced to Aerosmith's "I don't wanna miss a thing". When the song ended Chris scooped me up in his arms and gently laid me down in bed he climbed into bed and turned off the stereo I leaned over and kissed him, Chris turned off the lamp we went to sleep.
