Chapter 26

{Chris's POV} 

When I woke up Esmeralda wasn't in bed, I got up out of bed and walked into the bathroom she was in the bathtub Esmeralda looked at me and blushed she was trying to cover her breasts. 

"Baby, you don't have to cover your breasts I seen you naked before."

"Would you like to join me?" 

"I would love to join you." I said. 

I climbed into the tub with Esmeralda and kissed her when we were finished in the bathroom we walked back into my room and got dressed I grabbed the t-shirts out my dresser and put them in Esmeralda's bag and grabbed my old guitar Esmeralda and I put on our jackets she grabbed her bag and Binx's pet carrier I grabbed my bag and guitar we walked downstairs. 

"Christopher are you and Esmeralda heading home?" 

"Yeah, me and my little lady are going to head back home and mom thanks for having us over." 

"You and Esmeralda are welcome to stop by anytime you want." my mother said. 

"I'll make sure that when Esmeralda and I stay the night before Christmas Eve that we both won't end up sick." I replied. 

My mother hugged Esmeralda and I good-bye we left the house and walked down to the SUV, I unlocked the doors Esmeralda and I put our bags in the backseat along with my guitar Esmeralda handed me Binx's pet carrier until she got into the front seat. I sat the pet carrier on her lap and climbed behind the wheel I put the key in the ignition and started the engine I turned on the heat and drove away on the way home I looked over at Esmeralda, she was sound asleep. When we arrived home, I parked in front of the house and killed the engine I leaned over and kissed Esmeralda's cheek and gently shook her.  I grabbed the keys out of the ignition and climbed out of the SUV I grabbed mine and Esmeralda's bag and my guitar I opened the passenger door and gently slid the pet carrier off her lap and walked up to the house. I opened the storm door and unlocked the inside door I walked into the house and took everything upstairs to our room I walked back downstairs and walked back down to the SUV. I opened Esmeralda's door she was fast asleep I unbuckled her seat belt and scooped her up in my arms and carried her up to the house I walked back into the house I closed the doors and locked it I turned on the security alarm Esmeralda was starting to wake up. 

"Why didn't you wake me?" Esmeralda said.

"I did try to wake up you up, but you were fast asleep, so I carried you into the house. Did you want to lay upstairs on our bed and finish your nap?" I asked. 

"Yes." 

I carried Esmeralda upstairs to our room and laid her down on our bed I removed her shoes and jacket I put her jacket in the closet along with mine Esmeralda was watching me unpack our bag I let Binx out of the pet carrier I kicked off my shoes and laid beside Esmeralda. 

"Would you like your Washington Capitals throw blanket?" I said. 

"Yes, please and you can bring your Philadelphia Flyers throw blanket too." Esmeralda replied. 

I got up off the bed and grabbed mine and Esmeralda's throw blankets I covered her up in her Capitals throw blanket I laid back down on the bed beside her and covered myself up with my Flyers throw blanket Esmeralda leaned in and kissed me I brushed the back of my index finger against her cheek and made her blushed. She snuggled closer to me I wrapped my arm around her she laid her head on my chest she fell back to sleep Binx jumped up onto the bed and curled up at the bottom of the bed. I held Esmeralda closer and fell asleep I was woken up by my cellphone ringing I hurried up and answered it before it woke Esmeralda up. 

"Hey, Balz." 

"How's married life treating you?" 

"Esmeralda and I aren't legally married." I whispered. 

"Dude why the hell are you whispering for it's not top secret." Balz said. 

"I'm whispering because Esmeralda is sound asleep on me, and I don't want to wake her up." 

"How are you too not legally married?" 

"The pastor that married Esmeralda and I wasn't authorized to marry us, so we are just going to get married at the courthouse." I explained. 

"When you and Esmeralda get married at the courthouse Ryan and I will be there along with the rest of our band brothers." Balz replied. 

When I got off the phone with Balz, Esmeralda was starting to wake up she looked at me and smiled I smiled and kissed her. 

"Are you hungry?" 

"A little."

Esmeralda and I walked downstairs we walked into the kitchen, and I made us some lunch Esmeralda was giving Binx, his food and water she walked over to me and wrapped her arms around my waist I looked at her and smiled. Esmeralda and I sat down at the table and ate our lunch together I felt her foot playing with mine under the table after lunch I was sitting at my desk in my office when Esmeralda came into the room and sat down on the black leather couch.

"What's the matter love? You look like you lost your best friend." I said teasingly. 

"I'm afraid that when we have kids one day that it will change how we feel for one another." Esmeralda explained nervously.

"Baby, that's not going to happen because I am still going to love you no matter what and when we have kids one day my feelings for you will never change, I promise." 

I joined Esmeralda on the couch she climbed onto my lap I kissed her, she laid her head against my shoulder Binx came into my office and jumped up onto the couch. 

"I can't believe that I am in love with a Philadelphia Flyers and Tampa Bay Lightning fan." Esmeralda said teasingly. 

"I can't believe that I am in love with a Washington Capitals fan." I teased. 

I smiled happily and held Esmeralda closer to me she held my free hand and interlaced our fingers she kissed the back of my hand and then kissed me I looked at her and smiled. 

"Will you be okay here tomorrow alone?" 

"Yeah why?" 

"I am going to hang out with Ryan Ashley tomorrow." Esmeralda said. 

"I'll be fine here on my own I promise I have been fine on my own since before you came into my life." I replied. 

Esmeralda kissed me once more and climbed off my lap and left my office I followed her into the kitchen she was cooking dinner I sat on the kitchen counter Esmeralda looked at me and smiled. 

"I could have made dinner." 

"I didn't know you knew how to cook." 

"Not really I do know how to grill though." I said. 

"Babe it's a good thing you're in love with a girl that knows how to cook." She replied with a smile in her voice. 

"I love your cooking it's the best." 

After dinner Esmeralda and I were sitting on the couch playing NHL 2016 I was playing as the Tampa Baby Lightening, and she was playing as the Washington Capitals I was losing 6 - 0 in the second period when the game was finished, I lost 25 -1. I turned off the Xbox I put the game and controllers back I walked upstairs to mine and Esmeralda's room. I changed my clothes and put on my Joker pajama bottoms I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth Esmeralda came into the bathroom and brushed her teeth with me she was wearing her Harley Quinn pajamas. When we were finished in the bathroom, we climbed into bed I covered us up and grabbed the remote to my stereo and turned it on Esmeralda and I were listening to the radio Metallica was singing "Nothing Else Matters". Esmeralda and I were singing along to the song I wrapped my arm around her, and she laid her head on my chest a few minutes later I checked on Esmeralda, she was sound asleep I turned off the stereo and turned off the lamp I fell asleep.
