Chapter 22

{Chris's POV} 

When I woke up, I was in my old room at my mother's house because I didn't feel like staying home all night by myself because I am missing Esmeralda like crazy, she was on my mind all night. I got up out of bed and got dressed and walked downstairs I walked into the kitchen my mother was making coffee I sat down at the table with a sigh. 

"Chris, you look like a zombie from the Walking Dead." my mother said sitting a cup of coffee in front of me. 

"I know I do I didn't sleep very well last night Esmeralda was on my mind all night I miss her; she rejected my calls and texts." I said somberly. 

"Why don't you want to have kids?" 

"They'll get in the way of my music." 

My mother sat down at the table and just shook her head I traced my index finger around the rim of my coffee mug my mother just sipped her coffee and shook her head. 

"Chris, I know a mother isn't supposed to take sides, but I side with Esmeralda on this one she has given up so much when she chose to be with you, and you haven't given her anything in return at least make Esmeralda's dream come true to be a mother." my mother explained. 

"Esmeralda and I can adopt a child." I replied. 

"Christopher, that's not what Esmeralda wants she wants to experience being pregnant with your child so you can get off your high horse and make her dream come true but before that can happen you must apologize to her and win her heart so you might as well tell Esmeralda that you talked to me and that I didn't take your side." 

I finished drinking my coffee and made myself a bowl of cereal I was really missing Esmeralda and I felt like a complete asshole for making her angry and I felt really bad for making her cry when I was finished eating breakfast my mother and I were sitting at the table talking. 

"Mom what am I going to do?" I asked.

"You could go to Josh's house and apologize to Esmeralda for what happened." my mother said. 

I walked back upstairs to my room and grabbed my leather jacket and put it on I grabbed my overnight bag and walked back downstairs I hugged my mother good-bye and left the house. I climbed into my SUV and put the key in the ignition I started the engine and drove away on the way to Balz's house I stopped at Esmeralda's favorite places I put the shopping bags into the backseat, and I climbed into the SUV and drove to Balz's house. When I arrived at Balz's house I parked in front of his house and killed the engine I climbed out of the SUV and walked up the steps and knocked on the door Ryan Ashley answered the door. 

"Hi. Chris come on in." 

I walked into the house and walked into the living room Balz was sitting on the couch watching TV, I sat down on the couch I knew Balz was pissed at me, and I didn't blame him, Ryan Ashley came into the living room and sat beside Balz. 

"Chris, I can't believe you made her cry again I mean what is so bad about having kids." Balz said. 

"Balz, I know your pissed at me and I don't blame you, but Ricky and Ghost came to my house yesterday and they both chewed me out my own mother even chewed me out for not wanting to have kids. How was Esmeralda last night?" I asked. 

"I heard Esmeralda crying when I woke up this morning you can go on up to the guest room if you want." Ryan Ashley said. 

I got up off the couch and walked upstairs to the guest room I opened the door and quietly walked into the room I closed the door softly behind me I walked over to the bed and kicked off my sneaks I took off my leather jacket and climbed into bed with Esmeralda. She was starting to stir Esmeralda looked at me and started to cry I wrapped my arms around her she laid her head on my chest and sobbed. 

"Baby, I am so sorry for what I said yesterday Ghost and Ricky came over to the house and they chewed me out for what I said to you and so did my own mother." I explained. 

"I don't want to lose you over this." Esmeralda sobbed. 

"Honey you're not going to lose me I promise because after a very restless night I did some thinking and thought could having children be so bad because your right you lost everything when you disobeyed your parents when you wanted to be with me and your right, I was being selfish, and I want to change that by making your dream to be a mother come true." 

"Do you really mean that babe?" 

"Yes, I really want to make your dream to be a mother come true." 

Esmeralda kissed me and walked into the bathroom I waited for her I made the bed and sat down on the bed and put my sneakers back on I put my leather jacket back on when Esmeralda was finished getting ready, I grabbed her overnight bag and walked downstairs with her we said good-bye to Balz and Ryan Ashley. We left the house and walked down to the SUV I put Esmeralda's overnight bag into the backseat and climbed into the SUV and put the key in the ignition and started the engine and drove away. When we arrived home, I parked the SUV in front of the house and killed the engine Esmeralda and I climbed out of the SUV and grabbed the bags out of the backseat we walked up to the house I unlocked the door Esmeralda and I walked into the house. I locked the storm door behind us and closed and locked the inside door I took off my leather jacket and walked upstairs I hung my leather jacket up in the closet and walked back downstairs I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. Esmeralda came into the living room Binx was with her she snuggled up beside me I wrapped my arm around Esmeralda and handed her the bag from Hot Topic. 

"Babe, I love my gifts thank you so much." Esmeralda said. 

"I know how much you love The Nightmare Before Christmas." I said. 

Binx climbed up onto the couch and snuggled up against Esmeralda, she smiled and stroked him softly he was so happy that he was purring Esmeralda laid her head on my chest I drifted off to sleep. When I woke up I heard Esmeralda moving around in the kitchen I walked into the kitchen she was cooking dinner I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist and nuzzled her neck. 

"Babe behave yourself." 

"I don't know how." 

"Did you have a nice nap?" Esmeralda asked. 

"I don't really remember falling asleep." I said. 

"I fell asleep as well when I woke up Binx was curled up on your lap sound asleep." 

"He stayed in my office all last night." 

I grabbed a can of cat food and opened it I put the food in Binx's dish and put it down on the floor he came into the kitchen I helped Esmeralda set the table for dinner. Later on, that night Esmeralda and I were snuggling in bed Binx was sound asleep at the foot of our bed I turned off the lamp and wrapped my arm around Esmeralda, she kissed me and laid her head on my chest we fell asleep.
