Chapter 12

{Chris's POV} 

When I woke up Esmeralda was still fast asleep, I noticed she was smiling in her sleep I leaned in and softly kissed her forehead she snuggled closer to me I wrapped my arm around Esmeralda a few minutes later I felt her stirring. 

"Morning beautiful." 

"Morning handsome." 

"Did you sleep good?" I asked. 

"I slept very well because I was sleeping next to you." Esmeralda said. 

"What would you like to do for your birthday?" 

"I'm not sure what I want to do for my birthday I should be asking you the same thing because your birthday is before mine." 

Esmeralda sat up on her elbow and looked at me I looked at her and smiled she leaned over and kissed me we smiled against each other's lips. Esmeralda broke the kiss she smiled and played with my hair I looked into her beautiful brown eyes and smiled I gently pulled her closer to me she looked into my brown eyes and giggled. 

"To be honest I am not sure what I want to do for my birthday." I said. 

"Come on babe isn't there something you would like to do for your birthday?" Esmeralda asked. 

"Not really." 

Esmeralda and I climbed out of bed and got dressed we both walked into the bathroom when I was finished in the bathroom, I made the bed and walked downstairs I walked into the kitchen and turned on the coffee pot. I heard Esmeralda coming down the stairs she came into the kitchen and sat down at the table when the coffee was ready, I made the coffee and sat our mugs on the table and joined her. 

"Babe what would you say or do if I ever told you that I was pregnant?" Esmeralda asked nervously. 

"I would be really happy and I would tell you that I can't wait to be a father but I would try my best not to end being like my father because I don't ever want to end up like my parents." I explained. 

"Would it be fair to have children because you are hardly ever home most of the time?" 

"I would still love to start a family with you because it's something we both want very much." 

I got up from the table and grabbed my coffee mug I started cooking breakfast I felt Esmeralda wrap her arms around my waist I looked down at her and smiled she looked up at me and smiled. When breakfast was ready Esmeralda and I carried our plates over to the table and sat down after breakfast I helped Esmeralda with the dishes, we left the kitchen and hung out in the living room. Esmeralda watched me play NHL and Halo for the Xbox 360, she laid her head on my shoulder I wrapped my arm around her she laid her head on my chest I saved the game and turned it off.

"I love you puddin." Esmeralda said. 

"I love you too, baby. Would you like to go to Balz and Ryan Ashley's shop called Strange and Unusual?" I asked. 

"I would love to go babe." 

Esmeralda and I grabbed our jackets and left the house we climbed into my SUV and headed to Strange and Unusual, Esmeralda leaned over and kissed my cheek I looked at her and smiled she reached over and held my hand. When we arrived at Strange and Unusual, I turned off the engine and got out of the SUV with Esmeralda I walked over to her and held her hand we walked inside the shop. 

"Hey Balz." I said. 

"Hey Chris and it's nice to see you again Esmeralda." Balz said. 

"It's nice to see you again too your shop is amazing I wish my hometown had shops like this." Esmeralda explained cheerfully.
