The next morning I woke up in Harry's arms with a blanket wrapped around my body. We must have fallen asleep in the hall last night.
I yawned and carefully turned to see him staring at me. His curly hair was a mess and he was struggling to keep his eyes open.
"How long have you been awake for?" I asked quietly, rubbing my tired eyes.
"Just a couple of minutes" he said and blinked against the sunlight that came through the curtains.
"Did we actually fall asleep here?"
He nodded and I chuckled, sitting up against the wall and pulling my legs to my chest.
I couldn't remember too much of the last night. There was our conversation and then I broke down crying, but that was all I guess.
"How late is it?" I asked, my voice still slightly hoarse.
Harry pulled his phone out of the pocket of his sweatpants and unlocked it. "Half past seven."
I nodded slowly and cracked my knuckles. There was this awkward tension again, it made me crazy and I hated it. When we were asleep, things were so peaceful. I wasn't haunted by my nightmares and for once I felt like things were okay. Now I wasn't so sure about that.
"I think... I think I should go back before the others wake up and jump into conclusions" I said as I got up from the floor.
"See you later, I guess" Harry said with a smile plastered on his face and we headed back to our rooms.
I quickly went to the bathroom to take a shower and get dressed again. I wasn't sure how things were going to be between Harry and me. What he told me about Eleanor last night changed my mind about him. I now knew that he wasn't one of these bad boys that just bullied everyone because they thought it was cool, but I still didn't want to get attached to him. I was confused and I felt lost and reckless, but this time I decided to distract myself from overthinking.
Once I was done showering, I got ready and we left the room about an hour later to meet with the rest of the students.
I had my headphones in my ears since I wasn't going to listen anyway and I watched others walking by as I sat there and waited. These meetings were so annoying. I don't even know why I still showed up everyday.
After half an hour, Luke came and sat beside me with his hands in his pockets and his eyes staring at the floor.
"Are you okay?" I asked him as our teacher was rambling about our today's trip.
He looked up at me and forced a smile upon his face, "yeah, I'm okay."
I nodded slowly and nervously tapped my fingers on my thighs. I don't know why I was so nervous to be honest, but most of the time I don't know why I'm feeling the way I do.
"These are so annoying" I groaned as each of us got a piece of paper that told the time we had to be back at the hotel and all the rules.
I quickly got my glasses out so I could read the lines written in pen.
"Scott!" I heard someone calling which caused me to look up. "Nice glasses. You'd look a lot better if you weren't wearing them though" Eleanor said laughing.
"Well, you'd look a lot better if I weren't wearing glasses either bye" I said and continued reading. Luke burst out laughing and for the first time I finally heard the sound of his laugh. I looked up at him and smiled as he tried to calm down since the teachers still hadn't finished their lecture about something I wasn't listening to.
The time passed by quickly and once again we ended up in our groups as always. Being with Harry and Luke at the same time didn't bother me anymore, now that I knew the truth. The only problem now was that Luke didn't know. It seemed like he had gotten better, but maybe he had just gotten better at hiding his pain. One thing I learned from my dad is that people usally aren't what they seem like. They might seem fine, but on the inside they're actually hurting with every minute.
