~:Chapter Eleven:~

We neared a run down arcade, a few of the machines only working. A few tokens scattered across the carpet floor, along with coke cups and wrappers littered around the ground. It wasn't any place anybody's ever taken me before, but then again I never knew many people.

"What are we doing here?" I wonder aloud, wandering around looking at the machines.

"I used to come here as a kid, I just wanted to take a walk down memory lane," Harry explains. His smile could be felt even though my back was facing him.

"Do the games still work?" I ask, approaching a PAC-man machine, fiddling with the joy stick.

"I guess we'll just have to find out," He grins.

I manage to play PAC-man by scraping a few spare tokens off the floor. I start moving the pac-man to eat the little balls and cherry.

While I play my game, Harry is playing some samurai game, and was brutally failing. But once he manages to get the hang of it, he beats the game.

I'm stuck on my PAC-man game. I struggle to move the PAC-man to eat the big ball to kill the ghosts. Just as the PAC-man moves toward the ball, a ghost creeps up on me, using up my last life.

GAME OVER

Blinks the words on the screen, and I begin to slam my fist on the machine.

"I was so close!" I pout, turning around. Harry is standing unpredictably close causing me to bump into his chest.

We are closer than I expected. I can feel his minty breath fan over my face. I peer up at him with innocent eyes.

~:HARRYS POV:~

Her eyes are still grey, not the worn out blue I remember. The life isn't in her eyes, but she seems calmer, at least better than when I saw her in her broken state not too long ago.

You can't fix me now.

It's too late, I'm gone.

The words ring in my mind like a bell. I don't want to believe Joyce, not one bit. Deep down inside her, Joyce had to be there. Somewhere hiding in the depths of her dark soul.

It scares me how I've developed feelings for someone who might not be able to feel the same way in return. Can Joyce really love someone after going through all that she's been through? Is trusting someone worth it?

~:JOYCE'S POV:~

I hold mixed feelings for Harry, one minute I don't want to trust him or I push him away. Then the next I'm letting him in, caring about him.

"Wanna try my samurai game?" Harry asks, but I'm paying attention to the counter where you'd exchange your tickets for prizes.

"Want a prize?" I grin, going behind the counter.

Harry takes a step towards the counter resting his hands upon it, gazing at the prizes they had in store.

He points to a teddy bear holding a heart in its paws, fuzzy and cuddly.

"Tickets please," I order playfully, then hand him over the stuffed toy.

Harry presents the bear back to me saying, "because you captured my heart."

My heart pulses faster unintentionally. I clutch the bear tightly to my chest, not caring how the toy came from a beaten down arcade.

"It's lovely," I smile. I search for something to give Harry in return and find something.

It's a necklace with a pair of wings as a pendant. I hand it over to him and say, "because you're my angel sent from the above."

Harry looks down at the necklace admirably and back up at me smiling. His dimples indent his cheeks which make my cold heart grow with warmth.

He puts the necklace on, replacing it for his other chain. He takes off the cross necklace, and another pendant that looked like a little bolt. Before I knew it, Harry was behind me, putting the chain around my neck.

"So I'll be with you wherever you go," Harry whispers in my ear, the necklace drops down to my chest.

"Harry I-"

"Sh, I want you to have it," Harry assures resting his head over mine.

I had forgotten all the sadness I felt before Harry came to my aid. The sadness is still there, my heart still aching, but I'm too focused on my time with Harry to acknowledge it.

"I never got your number," Harry smiles. I turn around.

"No, I guess you didn't," I respond, grinning.

He gives me his phone. "Wanna do the honors?" Harry asks grinning.

"It would be my pleasure," I smile typing in my number into his phone.
