Prologue

"Here." Tiningnan ko yung kung ano mang piraso ng papel ang nilabas niya sa wallet niya. It was a blank cheque. Nag-angat ako ng tingin at litong tumingin sa kanya. He seemed to have read my mind nang bigla siyang magsalita. "It's a blank cheque. Name your price, for all the damages, of course." Then he smirked.

Napanganga ako sa sinabi niya. Pwede bang pakiulit yung sinabi niya? Parang hindi yun masyadong naabsorb ng utak ko!

Nang makabawi, doon ko lang narealize kung anong klaseng lalaki ang nasa harap ko ngayon. HE IS A DESPICABLE GUY! Napakaimposible nang isang 'to, Bryce Fuentebella is the most arrogant guy I have ever met in my entire life! Akala ba niya, money could buy everything?

Pinamewangan ko siya. "Well, excuse me, Bryce. I'm not cheap and your money cannot buy everything." Sabi ko sa kanya sabay talikod.

Hindi pa man ako nakakalayo nang bigla niya akong hilahin at ilapit ang mukha niya sa tenga ko. "Then I guess, this could serve as my payment." Sabi niya before slipping something inside my coat's pocket then walked away.
