Chapter 10

After hearing alpha Matthew knew I was safe.

I may not like his advances, or the way he thinks I'll one day end up in his bed, but I know he won't let anything happen to me.

"Lazira, it's our alpha. It's Matt. He won't hurt us." I spoke to my wolf.

"No one is our alpha." was her only reply before slinking to the back of my mind.

What does that mean? Of course.we have an alpha. Our alpha is right here. Oh well.

I closed my eyes as I felt the power shift from Lazira to me. When I opened them again, I knew they were my crystal blue instead of her piercing green.

I bowed my head and whined to Matthew. showing my sincere apology for my disrespect. Matthew lifted his hand and layed it on my head.

"Shh sweet girl. No apology is needed. I startled you." I raised my eyes to meet his with question. Not in a challenging way. I then looked around the room.

I saw there was an overturned cart of some sort. Things thrown all over the room. I also noticed we were in the pack doctor's room. It's not like we could go to a human doctor for some broken bones and everything be dandy 3 hours later when we healed.

It then hit me that the beeping noises must have been the heart monitor. That's when I noticed blood all over the bed and an IV on the ground. I looked at my arm, well front leg, and it was like a sudden pain ripped through it.

I wished I hadn't noticed it. I whined and raised it up to lick a few times. Alpha Matthew noticed my injury as well. He began commanding, "Everyone but Isaac out. Isaac get her a blanket or some clothes."

"Yes sir." a man answered.

Isaac! That's the voice I couldn't pin point. He's the pack doctor. I know him, but I don't exactly spend a lot of time in his office.

A few people from the pack exited the room. Some good friends of mine, But none of them were who I really wanted to see. That made my heart hurt. I whined again.

"It's ok Angel, Isaac is going to fix you up." Alpha Matthew stated reassuringly.

Silly Matt, this wound is no comparison to the the one in my heart right now.

I know it's super short but i'm writing the next one right now! I just thought that was a great place to end the chapter :)
