Chapter 16

I've been working at the diner for about 2 weeks now. I haven't been in contact with Alpha Mathew or anyone else from the pack house since the day the rogue showed up.

I currently was filling an old man's cup up with coffee for the sixth time. Shaking my head internally at how much coffee humans drink. I smiled sweetly at him and turned to leave. As I was passing a man reached out and smacked my ass.

I growled low enough for only him to hear. I snatched his arm and bent him over the table he was sitting at. The guys he was with looked like they were going to die from laughing.

"You have two seconds to apologize." I snarled in his ear.

"Yeah right bitch! You dress like a hoe you get treated like one." He replied smugly. However I heard the quiver in his voice.

"One." I demanded as I snatched his arm hire behind his back. Millimeters from breaking it.

"Ok! Ok! Chill!" He screamed rather high pitched. "I'm, I'm sorry. Just let go please!"

I smirked to myself before hiding it and letting his arm go. Shoving him into the table hard before I did. "I am not some toy for you to grab at your wish. However, if you're feeling like losing that arm feel free to 'try me'."

I heard the whimper escape him before I turned and continued with my work. Good. The pup needs to learn his place.

It was about an hour before my shift was up. So far I had broken two glasses and scared away five customers. It was not my best day to say the least. And it was about to get worse.

I glanced up as I felt they're presence. Alpha Mathew was standing by the door with Travis and a few other pack members. I realized they saw everything. Alpha Mathew gave me a slight raise in his head as if saying, "Nice job."

I ducked my head in acknowledgment. I turned the other way and all but ran through the kitchen doors. The double doors swung shut with a bang behind me. My manager looked up.

I gave him a pleading look and his face softened. "Go ahead." He nodded.

"Thank you. I swear I'll make it up to you." I said while I rushed to grab my things and head to my truck.

Once outside I fumbled with my keys in shakey hands. My heart was racing. Lazira was clawing to take control and I couldn't focus.

I saw a reflection in the window a second too late. The man spun me around pinning me against my truck and clamping his hand over my mouth. I screammed into the hand and fought to get out of his hold. He pressed his knee between my legs and forced his weight on me. He brought his face to my neck and inhaled. Running his nose up to my ear.

As soon as I registered the sparks I stilled. My blood ran cold. It's impossible.

"Hello beautiful." He whispered. "My, how you've grown. Oh the things I could do to you now. You have an amazing body."

I shuddered in disgust. This can't be happening. I fought to think straight. "Think Avery. Think!" I said over and over agin in my head.

The pack! Everyone is inside! I couldn't scream with my.voice but I was still part of a pack! Mind link!

"HELP!! ALPHA! TRAVIS! SOMEONE! PLEA..."

My mind link was cut off as a strong scent of wolf's bane hit my nose. He was drugging me.

"Sleep well mate." Jeremy snickered before I went limp. I saw Travis running our way before we were thrown into a car and it sped off. I saw him shift. I felt and heard the earth shattering roar as he shifted. My eyes slid closed and everything went black.
