Ok guys! I just couldn't leave you hanging. I know you are upset with the way things are going about her pups and all, but I have in mind what I want to happen and why. I hope you aren't too angry :(
Ps. Does anyone know how I can upload a pic of what Avery's wolf looks like?
Chapter 26
Unknown POV
I stared down at my nephew. He hung his head in respect.
“Have you found her yet?” I questioned.
He raised his head to look at me, “Yes sir but…” he trailed off. There was a mixture of anger and regret in his eyes.
“BUT WHAT?!” I roared. I grow tired of these word games! How hard is it to find one wolf? A rare wolf at that! These imbeciles, family or not, they haven’t a lick of sense!
“Ummm…it appears she is being tortured. By the man who rejected her a few years back. Her mother sold her out to him. She told him what she was.” He spoke quietly. He seemed to be holding back his true emotions.
“Tortured? Is she alive?” I question? My heart feels heavy with this news. I should have taken her from her mother years ago! That strung out rogue doesn’t deserve the glory of being called a wolf.
“Barely…sir.” He responds.
“Then why has no one stepped in?” I roar at him, standing from my desk and towering over his frame.
“We sent Sampson sir. He should be there any minute. We called the birds back. But there is one other thing.” He trails off again, not looking at me.
“WHAT?!” I growl.
“There is…a…pack, so to say. Who have raged a war with the rogues. It will be a bloody battle. It appears that they are fighting for her.” He informs me.
“I don’t care about them. Just get her out alive. We need her alive.” I order before walking out of the office. If I have to do things myself, there will most definitely be a bloody war.
Travis’s POV
My wolf charged at Jeremy. Jaws open, teeth awaiting something to latch onto. Just as I was about to grab him, the wall to my right shattered. I jumped away from it and ran towards the door. The distraction giving me room to take control back and repress my wolf. I spun around so that my back was to the exit and stared at what interrupted my kill. I crouched low, fangs bared, ready to attack.
My eyes scanned the area noticing a pale Jeremy and a large white wolf. This guy radiated power and dominance. He demanded respect. He shifted into a man a few inches taller than myself. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. His eyes though….Those crystal eyes barely swept across me before narrowing in on Jeremy.
“You, have been charged with treason, kidnapping with the intent to kill, and un-lawful rejection. For your crimes, the penalty is death.” He spoke in a deep voice that held no room for question.
I snapped at him, furious that he would dare interrupt MY fight! The man looked my way.
“My apologies, but this one is not your’s. We have had eyes on him and his bunch for some time.” His eyes hardened before he added, “Long before he stalked Avery.” I rose from my crouched position to my full height. How does he know her? But that didn’t bother me nearly as much as the fact that he wasn’t going to let me kill this asshole. I debated taking him down too.
“You may try to fight us Travis, but you will not win this one. You have someone more important to worry about.” He dipped his head slightly when he spoke my name as if in respect. That confused the hell out of me. I’ve never even seen this guy before.
