Chapter 17
Travis P.O.V.
I couldn't stand it anymore. My wolf was fighting me day and night. He hated the thought of me touching Bethany. I've tried to show affection. I've tried to be kind and see things from her perspective. But I couldn't.
Anytime she tried to seduce me i thought of Avery. When she tried to get close, I thought of Avery. When she attempted to sing a sexy song in the shower, or dance provocatively, I thought of Avery.
And at night when I was alone with my mate, my wolf filled my head with thoughts of Avery. He showed me memories of her smile, her laugh, her playfulness. He forced me to remember her scent and how it felt to have her beneath me. He showed me her power and dominance and skill at always being able to handle situations.
He showed me all the ways that Avery was better than my actual mate. And I agreed. I missed her. I felt like I was cheating on her anytime Bethany hung on my arm.
I decided what I need to do. I walked into the pack house. It was around lunch time. I waited just inside the back door. No doubt the witch will make her presence known.
"Aaaaahhhhhhggggghhh!" Screeched Bethany. I shook my head and my wolf growled at the disturbance. I sighed before continuing upstairs. No doubt she found something else of Avery's.
I walked into my room to see her bent undrrneath the bed. I couldn't even appreciate this woman's body, she didn't have one. She had no figure.
"What now?" I demanded rather impatiently.
"This!" She screamed at me holding up two seperate pieces of a black and dark green lingerie set.
I grinned. My god how sexy she had looked in that set. Too bad I ripped it to shreds before she could wear it more than once.
Bethany was in my face before my wolf could dredge up the memory.
"What the hell Tray?" She screamed in my face.
My wolf rose to the surface before I could think. He grabbed her by the throat anf spun her around, pinning her to the wall. I snatched back my control before he could hurt her. But I didn't loosen my grip.
"You will NOT disrespect me like that again. And my name is TRAVIS! NOT Tray you slut." I snarled in her face.
She whimpered and looked away. The shredded fabric falling to the ground.
"I'm sorry. But it hurts me to see things like this even after two weeks." She pouted, while attempting the puppy eyes. She just looked like she had a twitch.
I let her go and made my decision then. "Leave."
She stared at me with wide eyes. "Wha-what?" She croaked out.
"Take your shit and leave. I. Do. Not. Want. You. I am rejecting you. Get out of here and if I EVER see you on our land again, I'll kill you." I dead panned.
She grabbed her bag and ran past me. Not a single tear in her eyes. I ran my hand threw my hair and sighed. I didn't even feel hurt. I'm more than relieved about that. I'm glad she's gone.
Once I heard her car pull out i let my mind drift to Avery. I need to see her. I need to tell her. My wolf jumped with excitement. He really loves her.
I ran downstairs to see if I could find anyone. They were all in the games room.
"Let's go get something to eat." I spoke.
They all dropped what they were doing and grabbed their stuff. Glutinous wolves.
"Where to?" Alpha Mathew asked.
"Avery's." I said with a goofy grin. James appeared out of know where. "Hell's to the yeah!" He hollered.
The alpha gave me a knowing look and said "Let's go."
We arrived at the diner and I spotted her immediately. She was pouring coffee for an older man. Damn, she pulled off that uniform. Those short shorts hugging her hips and lifting her ass just enough. The low cut advertisement tee she was wearing made known just how perky those breasts were without revealing too much. I groaned inwardly. I needed her in my arms.
She was walking our way when we made it to the door. She passed a table of newer male wolves and one reached out and smacked her ass. I growled and rushed forward. Alpha Mathew put his hand up in front of me and shook his head. "Let her handle it." He said.
I watched with pride as she bent him around like a pretzel and snarled in his ear. I heard a scared apology as she shoved him and let go. She turned towards us again and visibly stiffened. She took a sharp right and disappeared between two swinging doors.
My heart clenched. She was running from me. I pushed past the others and went after her. I couldn't find her. With no more appetite I walked back into the seating area.
All of a sudden my wolf roared in anger. I doubled over the table as I almost shifted. Then my heart stopped.
"HELP! ALPHA! TRAVIS! HELP! PLEA..." Avery's scream was cut off suddenly. I lost it.
Screw the door. I slammed through the nearest window. There stood Jeremy with a rag over her mouth. She lay limp in his arms. I shifted as I started running as fast as I could. Don't take her I begged in my head. Her eyes rolled my way. He grinned at me before tossing her in a car. I roared so loud the ground shook.
The car sped off. Too fast for me to catch.
No. She's mine. I want her back.
