Chapter 1: The beginning

It was mid-summer and I woke up alone again in this gigantic mansion. This mansion was just too big for myself alone but I couldn't just sell it because this mansion brings a lot of memories of my father.

After I woke up, I got up from my bed, went straight to the washroom and fixed myself. I decided to go to the coffee shop near my place. As I enter the entrance, I walk straight towards the counter.

   "Good day, ma'am! Welcome to 'DreamLand Café'. Can I take your order?"

   "Oh, hi Sehun!~" I greeted the cashier happily.

Oh Sehun works here as a cashier for a long time now so he can earn something for himself. Sehun is a very independent kid and a very nice friend to me. He is also good-looking and very tall as well.

   "Oh, hi Jae!~" He smiled brightly. "So, can I get your order?"

   "Hm, Okay. 1 blueberry cheesecake, 1 chocolate bubble tea and 1 hot cappucino please!"

    "Is that all, ma'am?"

I nodded and smiled. I turned around to look for somewhere to sit. I saw an empty seat next to the glass window so I sat there.

After a couple of minutes, Sehun approached me with my food on his hands.

   "Jae, here you go." He put the food on the table and smiled.

   "You're a waiter here as well, Sehunnie?" I asked him out of confusion.

    He shook his head and said "Oh no, I just want to give your food to you personally."

     I smiled widely. "Aww, thanks Sehunnie~. Well, here you go!" I handed him my chocolate bubble tea.

    "Oh? What's that?" He asked.

    "Its a chocolate bubble tea, silly!" I laughed shortly. "Take it, Sehunnie! I know its your favorite!~"

     "Ah, thanks.." He said shyly with his cheeks turning pink.

     I stood up from my seat and took the food. "I better get going now, I still need to do some chores. Bye Sehunnie!"

    "Ah wait!"

     I was about to leave but Sehun stopped me. "Why?" I asked.

     "Ah, thanks again for the bubble tea. Hm.. Later, Kai and I will go to the hospital-"

      I cutted his sentence off. "Huh? Why? Who was in the hospital?" I asked him hysterically and panicking.

      Sehun rested both of his hands on my shoulders and shook me gently. "Wait, Jae!! Just relax, you don't need to panic! " Sehun laughed shortly. "It's Lay Hyung. Lay Hyung injured his right foot when we're practicing our dance routines and don't worry, his injury wasn't fatal anyway. So, wanna go visit Lay?"

Oh right.. Kai, Lay Oppa, and Sehun are on a dance group. The three of them are the best dancers in school. They are all good-looking and full of charisma. Actually, the three of them are the only true friends I got. I don't know why but I felt like girls are judging me from my head to my toe before they can accept me as their friend. Ooh! They just pissed me off!!

I put myself together and shook my head a little. Then, I answered Sehun. "Ahm, sure! Since I haven't seen those two for quite some time." I smiled. "Well, bye for now!" I waved at him goodbye.

   "Bye, take care!" He waved at me goodbye as well.

At the mansion~

I decided to eat my food here. I'm not a very good cook so every morning, I always go to DreamLand Café (where Sehun works) to buy my breakfast there.

After I ate my breakfast, I grabbed my dirty clothes and went outside to do my laundry.

While I was doing my laundry, the phone inside my pocket rung. I picked it up then answered.

     "Yes? Hello?"

      "Hey Jae, It's me Kai!"

Kim Jong-In, or Kai(nickname) is calling me. He is a very nice friend. Actually, I consider him as my best friend. As I said earlier, he's good-looking, has very tanned skin-tone and a very tall kid as well.

       "Oh, hey Kai! What's up?"

       "Hey, so Sehun told me, you'll go to the hospital right?"

        "Yeah, I'll go visit Lay Oppa."

        "Ah, is it okay if we'll pick you up at your place? We never know, you might get lost on your way at the hospital if you're alone!" He said teasingly and laughed.

        "YAH! I'm not that stupid, you know?!" I pouted even if I knew he couldn't see me.

        "I'm just kidding, Jae! I know you're pouting right now so stop it." He laughed. "Bye now. Wait  for us to pick you up, Okay?"

        "Okay, bye!"

We both hung up. I continued finishing my laundry and after I'm finished, I waited for them outside the mansion.

I saw a luxurious black car stopped in front of me.

      Sehun poked his head out of the passenger side. "Hey, Jae! Come on! Let's go!~"

I climbed in the back and buckled my seatbelt. I met Kai's gaze in the rearview mirror.

       "Hey Kai! New car?" I asked, still looking at the rearview mirror

       "Ah, yeah! My Dad gave it to me as a gift!" He said, looking also at the rearview mirror.

       "Woah, sweet!" Sehun yelled with amazement on his face. "I envy you, Kai!" He lightly punched Kai's arm.

Kai started driving. He drives quite fast yet pretty smooth. No wonder, we finally arrived at the hospital.

       "Miss, excuse me?" I said.

       "Yes? How can I help you ma'am?" the nurse responded.

       "Ah, what room number does Zhang Yixing stayed in?" I asked the nurse politely.

       

       "Mr. Zhang? Let me check.." The nurse scanned Yixing's(Lay) name on the papers she was holding. "Oh, here it is! He's on the 3rd floor, room 220."

       "Thank you!" I bowed lightly then we headed off to the elevator.

We got out of the elevator and searched for Lay Oppa's room.

        "Here it is!" Sehun pointed the door with the 'Room 220' attached to it.

We went inside Lay's ward and we saw Lay watching a movie on his laptop.
