"Talia Caitlin get back here" Ziva yelled chasing her daughter around their house "Ima" Kai interrupted "Come on it's time to get ready for bed" Tony said appearing at the door and sweeping both the girls up "Abba" they complained as he carried them to their room "Here's your pyjamas" he said ignoring them and handing a pair of fairy pyjamas with a blue top to Tali and a pair of fox pyjamas with a pink top to Kai and leaving their room.
The girls appeared half an hour later with their AG dolls, a couple accessories and two stitch stuffed toys "Ima can you plait my dolls hair" Kai asked sweetly handing her the doll and a hairbrush "Sure Kai, what do you want me to do" Ziva asked sitting the doll "Two plaits please" she smiled drinking her milk "Tali do you want yours done as well" Ziva asked making sure not to leave her out "No thanks Ima" Tali said continuing to play with her doll making it drink a fake slushy.

Just as Ziva had finished plaiting the dolls hair there was a quiet but urgent banging on their front door, Tony was upstairs trying to find his phone so Ziva gave Kai her doll back and went to open the door.
Ziva opened the door to see a sobbing 11 year old, it was their neighbour "Hey what's wrong" Ziva asked the little girl was wearing her pyjamas and was covered in blood "I think they're dead" she cried "Who" Ziva asked "My parents" she stuttered "It's okay, what happened" Ziva asked "He shot them" she cried "Is he still there" Ziva asked "I don't know" she said crying "Tony" Ziva yelled up the stairs "I need you now" He ran down the stairs at full speed "What's wrong" he asked "This is Kelsey she's our neighbour stay with her" Ziva instructed grabbing her gun and rushing into Kelsey's house, she went through every room and every cupboard but there was no one there except for the bodies of her parents slumped on the bedroom floor bleeding, her mum was alive but barely breathing and her dad was already dead.
"Hello, my name's Ziva I live next door" Ziva said putting pressure on the gun shot wound and getting her phone out "Where's Kelse" she croaked "She's safe at my house with my boyfriend" Ziva explained calling an ambulance "Hello, my name's Ziva David I'm and NCIS agent we need an ambulance at ----- ----- ----, my neighbours have been shot" she explained to the operator "Thank you Miss David, what condition are they in" "The husband is dead and the wife has one gun shot wound to the chest but is still breathing" she informed the woman "Okay, stay on the line an ambulance has been sent over" Ziva didn't reply she just started talking to the woman and kept pressure on the wound until the ambulance arrived along with two sets of police.
As soon as they arrived she left going back to her house to get Kelsey, Tony had stayed with her and was sitting with her waiting for Ziva. "Hey Tony" Ziva asked walking in "the ambulance is taking them now" she said "Kelsey do you want to put something else on" Ziva asked reaching her hand out to the little girl, Tali and Kai had been sent upstairs just after Ziva left to play in their room. Kelsey nodded taking Ziva's hand still sobbing "Here you go, I'm sure Tony won't mind if you wear this" she smiled handing one of Tony's plain tops to her, Kelsey took it and changed handing Ziva her bloody clothes, Ziva put them in a bag then carried Kelsey out across to the police as she didn't have any shoes "Hi, I'm Ziva David I rang for the ambulance this is their daughter Kelsey" Ziva smiled approaching one of the women "Okay, thank you, we will be done with the crime scene in an hour did you want to keep her with you" the woman asked looking around, there wasn't anywhere for Kelsey to go "Sure can you bring some clothes round for her as soon as you're done" Ziva asked "Sure are there and toys or blankets she wants" the woman asked "Kelsey" Ziva said turning her head to the girl clinging onto her arm "Can I have my AG doll her names Kayla" she whispered "Anything else" "My photos, they're on my desk" she asked almost looking unsure if it was allowed "Her AG doll and some photos that are on her desk" Ziva repeated to the woman "Sure, we'll send someone over to ask some questions with her things" the woman said so Ziva carried Kelsey back to their house, it was gone 2300 by now.
