Severide's pov
We arrive on scene to find reminisce of a gas explosion. There was a small flames coming from the house. I hop out of the rig as a woman runs over to me. "You have to help me. I thought my daughter was with me. We were in the basement playing I smelt gas so I told her to come outside with me. When I noticed she wasn't with me I turned to go back and get her but there was an explosion. She's all I have. Please save her." She says to me. "Alright ma'am hold tight will go get her. What's her name?" I say "Ellie." She says. I round up my men and head in. We walk down the basement steps to find it flooded. The water heater must have leaked. I see that the power is still on to the house. There is a live wire about to hit the water. I see a little girl sitting on the very top of the couch. "Are you Ellie?" I ask "Yes please help me I'm stuck." She says. "I'm Kelly we're going to help you I need you do me a favor. I need you not to touch the water. Can you do that for me sweetie?" I ask "yes" she nods. I turn to my men. "We can't reach her from her. The water could electrocute anyone who touches it. We need to find another way in." I say "the window that's just to the right of where she is. We can drop down and get her that way." Cap says. I turn back to Ellie. "honey we are going to get you out through that window over by you. This is Cap he's going to stay here while I go outside to the window to help you." I say as I walk out of the house to the truck to go I grab some safety rope. I then head to the back of the house to the window where Ellie. I'm able to jimmy the window open from the outside. "Hey Ellie I need you to careful scoot over to me. I'm going to give you this rope and need you to wrap it around your wrist." She carefully scoots over to the window. I lower the rope and she wraps it around her writs. "Okay I'm going to help you up" I say I pull her up to safety. "Thank you" she says giving me a big hug. "Let's get you back to your mom." I say to her. I carry her over to her mom. Sylvie takes them to the ambo to get checked out. Once there the fire is out we head back to the firehouse.
