Next day firehouse
Casey's pov
The mornings been pretty slow here at the house. Only 2 calls and one was just for ambo. I walk over to get a cup of coffee when chief walks in. "Casey can you grab Severide and meet me in my office please" he says. "Sure thing chief" I say. I walk out to the apparatus bay where the squad table is. "hey Severide chief wants to see us in his office." I say to him. We both head to chief office. "chief you wanted to see us." Severide says. "yes yes please come in and close the door. " He says to us. "what did you wanna talk about." I say.
Chiefs pov
"We have a transfer coming over to the house. Hes transferring from Carol stream. Names Nick Shaw been a firefighter for 8 years. Pretty solid guy." I say " when's he transferring?" Casey asks. "He'll be here in two weeks." I say " what rig will he be on? Truck or squad? Casey asks. "Hes a jack of all trades. Right now he'll be on Truck but if we ever need an extra man on squad he can transfer over easily. Make him feel welcome and part of the family." I say "Thanks chief." Casey and Severide say as they walk out.
Dawson's pov
Im sitting at the table when Casey walks out if chiefs office. He comes and sits next to me. "what did chief want?" I ask. "we are getting a new firefighter from Carol stream. I think we might know him or at least his son. Last names shaw. Jace said his new friend Timmy shaw just relocated closer to here. " He says to me."that be really cool if it wa.. I say as i get interrupted by the alarm.

I stand up and start to head out when Casey's grabs me and kisses me. "be safe" he says to me.
