At the daycare
Severide's pov
I told squad to do a search to find the smell. I'm walking around the daycare when I hear Cap call me over to where he is. "We've got something I can't tell what it is but readings are off the charts." Cap says. "Let's section this room off and help get the rest of the sick kids over to the ambos. I'll call hazmat " I say. "Someone's gotta call their parents." Chief says. "I'll call them." A daycare worker says. We get the kids out safely and wait for hazmat to arrive.
On the way to Hospital
Dawson's pov
"He can't die. He just can't." I cry out. "Babe he's going to be fine." Casey says to me. "How do you know that? He's unconscious in your arms. Why is it that he always seems to land in the hospital when we aren't around? Are we bad parents is this punishment?" I yell all frustrated. Tears now running down my face. "I just have this feeling everything will work out right. Come here" Casey says to me. I give him a hug then go back to checking on the other two kids. They were older, about 5 years of age. "Excuse me I don't feel good." The little boy said quietly. "What doesn't feel good?" I ask him. "My tummy hur....." he starts to say but then throws up. Luckily I was able to get him a bucket to throw up in. "I want my mommy" he says as he violently throws up again. "Shay how far out are we?" I ask "3 minutes out." Shay says. Once there we hop out and rush in.
