Casey's pov
I'm lying and roll over to find the bed empty. Gabby is no where to be found. I decide to get up and go check on Jace. I grab my robe and head down the hall to his room. Just as I'm about to walk in he greets me at his door. "Hey little monkey. How did you sleep?" I ask him. "Good can we get breakfast?" He says " you hungry little man?" I say "yup" he says kinda tiredly. I bend down and pick him up. "I think mommy might be getting breakfast ready lets go find out" I say as we head down the stairs. We reached the bottom of the stairs and I set him down. The instant I did he ran towards gabby. "Morning little monkey." She says to him. She picks him up and places him in his chair. I walk over and give her a kiss. Once breakfast is done we get ready for work. I'm upstart changing into my uniform when I realized that we had the new guy transferring over today. "Babe I wanna try and leave early today I forget I the new guy is coming today." I say to gabby who's in the bathroom getting ready. " That's fine I'm almost ready I can change into my uniform at the fire house. Can you go get Jace ready please" she says to me. "Sure I'd be glad to" I say to her as I leave the room and walk to Jace's room where he is playing. "Time to get ready buddy" I say. " okay daddy." He says in a sad voice like he still wanted to play. Once we were all ready we head out to the daycare and drop Jace off. We then pull into the firehouse and walk in.
