Chapter 46

Morning of next shift

Dawson's pov
I'm laying in bed with Mats arms around me. "Morning babe how'd you sleep? I ask him. Morning gorgeous. I slept great." He says to me as i roll over ti him. He kisses me good morning and i kiss him back. "We got get up and get ready or will be late dropping Jace off." I say. "You shower, get ready and I'll go get Jace ready. We will even do breakfast." He says to me. "Deal. My boys can make me breakfast anytime." I say getting out if bed to go shower.

Casey's pov
I told Gabby I would get Jace ready and then make breakfast. I walk into Jace's room and find hes still asleep. I turn the light on and walk over to his crib. "Hey buddy it's time to wake up. Mommy and daddy got work today" I say rubbing his back. He slowly wakes up. "Let's put you in a cute outfit for mom." I say as I pick him up from the crib. I change him and his clothes. The second I pick him back up in my arms he lays his head back down on my shoulder and is asleep again. We walk down stairs and I make breakfast. I made eggs, toast and fruit for breakfast. One handed I might add. I tried to put Jace in his play pen but he didn't want to let go of me. I'm not gonna complain. I love when he falls asleep on me. Just as I finish making breakfast gabby comes downstairs. "He must be one tired little boy." Gabby says. "Yeah he won't let me put him down." I say handing her, her breakfast. We finish breakfast, I get changed and we head out to daycare. We walk into daycare. "Mat you smell that something doesn't smell right. I don't like it." She say. "It smells like burnt food. Should be fine." I say as we check in. It was a struggle to get Jace to let go of me. It took some convincing from Chloe to have Jace come to her. "You be good Jace will see you tomorrow." I say kissing him goodbye. Gabby does the same thing.
