I walk into the firehouse and head to the locker room. I quickly change out into my uniform. Then I head to get my morning coffee. I didn't sleep well last night. Leah is gone for the week to see family out of town so I don't sleep well when she's not around. Burke was there making breakfast for us all. I figured I'd be nice and ask of she needed help. "Nah I'm good I'm almost done but thanks for the offer" Burke says to me. I go sit down and wait for the girls to arrive. About 10 minutes later they arrive. "Man Brett you feeling okay today?" I ask. "Had a rough night of sleep. I'll be good. I'll nap later." she says. My phone buzzes and it's Leah. "Hey love. What's up?" I ask. "Nothing just wanted to hear your voice. I've missed you." She says. "I've missed you too." I say. "Hey I'm back in a couple of days we should go out to dinner." She says to me as the alarm goes off. "Sounds great I gotta go babe ill talk to you later." I say rushing off to the ambo.
