Chapter 36

On way home.

Casey's pov
I open the door for gabby and she gets in the car. I then go around to the driver side, hop in and start the engine. I start to drive home and about 15 minutes into the drive we see an accident. Two cars had collided with each other. I park the car on the side of the road. Gabby and I jump out and run over to the two cars. I head to one and she to the other. "911 how may I help you?" The lady says. "This is lieutenant Casey from firehouse 51. There is a two car accident that just happened at the intersection of Glade and Dundas. Looks like one is unconscious and the other one is hold on. Gabby how's the driver of the second car?" I say. "DOA" she says I put the phone back up to my ear. "Second car driver is DOA." I say to the Lady. "Their on there way." She says. I thank her and hang up. "Gabby need you to grab the halligan out of the car. We need to get him out of the car I'm smelling gas it could go up in flames at anytime." I say to her she runs over with the halligan and I jam it in the door and pry it open. "We need to stabilize his neck. I think there's a spare c-collar in the medical compartment in the back of the car. Can you go get it while I check his vitals." She says as I am run to the car. I grab what she needs and head back. "Here you go. We gotta hurry I smell the gas a lot more." I say. She puts the c-collar on him and we carefully pull him out. Just as we pull him out the car ignites on fire. Two minutes later truck 66 and ambo 31 arrive. Gabby stays with the victim while I run over to tell them what happened. "Casey. What we got here?" Welsh ask. Second car over there hit first car and the second car spun out of control hit the lamp post. He's DOA. Guy of first car we had to pull as evidence of the car on fire." I say "Thanks Casey we got it from here." Welsh says. I go join gabby and tell her we can go home.
